Stipe relies on his speed and reflexes, which unfortunately fade first. Combine that with a Francis whose TDD keeps improving, and I don’t see a way for him to regain gold…all of his wins since 2013 minus the UD over Francis were against guys his age or older…he is/was a great fighter, but if he is financially secure enough, I’d rather not see him go in there and get hurt.

I'd be down for that fight or Blaydes. So long as he fights someone in the Top 5 instead of just yelling for another crack at Francis.

Stipe should do some fun fights and get a win streak going. He wasn't a world beater in the DC fights and his Ngannou fight he wasn't taking over any part of that fight. Adding 20lbs won't make him much different. Unless he comes back on horse meat and becomes Uber Stipe, his lighter weight was actually his best move, he wasn't going to out power Ngannou.

No. Generally, the best heavyweights are 230-245. Only true freaks like Lesnar or Francis are fast enough at 265 for it to not be a huge disadvantage. Stipe will just be big, slow and gas easily. He was a good HW because he was well rounded, athletic and was kind of a Jack of all trades. Him bulking and slowing down probsbly doesn’t work well for him, especially in his late 30’s after a long time off.

Nah. He's just more of a cruiserweight. At 245 he was already soft. At 255 he'd be fat.
