He talked a LOT of shit and got his ass handed to him, but he congratulated Cody afterwards. And instead of running and hiding from everyone, he walked into the press conference and said yep, I lost, that's life, we're throwing with 4 oz gloves, he won, good for him, I'll be back.

If Rousey had owned her Holly loss and didn't hide away and spoke with humility, I think she would have gained fans. And now it's the same shit, ran out of the octagon, avoiding press, radio silence.

You get to see what people are really made of in defeat I guess. Props to Dom for owning his loss.

You are just a straight Connor Nuthugger or a Cruz Hater.

Cruz gave Cody a good amount of props; said the better man won, gave credit to his conditioning and game-plan, etc. The only time he took a swipe was when he said Cody wasn't that smart but at least he's a good person. Yes, it's a back-handed compliment, but at least it's honest and I would expect Dom to have sour grapes after he just got beatdown by a guy who he talked mad shit to.

I don't really see how he down-played his loss; he lost a close fight (3 rounds to 2, though one was a 10-8 for Cody so it was a clear win), acknowledged that he got outmanned, didn't claim he was owed a rematch (unlike some other fighters) and said he thinks it's fair TJ gets the next shot.

IMO Cruz looks wayyyyyyyy slower now, those injuries are catching up to him, he couldn't deal with Cody's explosiveness which was surprising (thought the speed would be equal but Cody is definitely faster). I don't think he'll ever get the title back, but he still has a couple great fights left in him hopefully (rematch with TJ or Cody, then maybe one more depending on if he wins or loses).
