If Ngannou convincingly beats Gane, then Stipe, is he the GOAT?

You couldn’t even come up with one reason why my opinion could be wrong and went straight to insults. Way to acknowledge defeat! You’re a sore loser, buddy!
Nothing you say is respectable. It’s always obvious when the noobs arrive. Lol

No. Ngannou is not even close to Fedor’s accomplishments. He has a ways to go.

The 2nd best fighter (3rd best win) on Fedors resume is Mark Hunt.

Blaydes 2x, Rozi, Reem, Cain, JDS, and Stipe is already a better resume lol

No, cain is the greatest when you think about it, brock had the potential to be if he wasnt sick.

There's no way Francis is beating Stipe.

Um… no.
Cain and JDS were totally washed, Reem was like 80% washed, and Stipe was showing clear signs of decline leading up to, and in, the 2nd fight.

Personally when I rank GOATs, I look at metrics: ranked wins, title defenses, and former/future champs beaten. I’m not a big fan of this whole “I think a win over JDS in 2019 means more than a win over Coleman in 2006” subjective business. Your opinions on Fedor are pretty well noted lol, but here’s the deal. Fedor went on a run in which he had something like 12 ranked wins (possibly more depending on your ranking criteria), either 3 or 5 title defenses (depending on whether you include the WAMMA belt or only the PRIDE belt), beat 5 former/future UFC champs in prime (and added a couple more later). Ngannou is absolutely, positively, nowhere fucking close to this. Just like any athlete in sports, I don’t expect Fedor to remain HW GOAT forever. But Ngannou has a long damn way to go to get near what Fedor accomplished. I mean, Fedor even did all that shit in one continuous unbeaten streak, which obviously Francis cannot match. Ngannou is just not anywhere close to matching this.

What? Haven’t you heard about Tom Aspinall? Daukas? Romanov and Pavlovich? They are all very promising prospects.

It’s really not that hard to become the HW GOAT, as Fedor only had 3 title defences
Even if you’re going to totally disregard the WAMMA fights and only count PRIDE defenses, why would you say Fedor has “only 3”? Remind me again how many UFC HWs have surpassed that in the entire history of the organization?

He could easily achieve that within 12 months.

Those are some IFs . ..

But to be a Goat of a UFC division the following must take place..

1) Win a title in a division
2) Defend won title more times then any other previous champion against ranked opponents

If Ngannou by beating Gane and Stipe accomplishes this then yes...hes the HW UFC GOAT but i believe Stipe had 3 title defenses so i think it would only tie him...he would need one more win after those IIRC

I mean lets look at how many UFC champs
Ngannou has beaten.. Arlovski, Cain, JDS, Stipe (4)
Fedor has beaten.. Big Nog, Coleman, Randleman, Sylvia, Arlovski, Mir, Rampage (7)

The only champs Ngannou can even fight now are Interim Gane, ex LHW Jones, Shogun, Current LHW Blachowicz. With probably only Gane/Jones/Jan being the only semi relevant champion fights.

I know it's only one metric, but kind of shows how Ngannou really could keep slaying everyone across the cage from him and still never come out ahead of others GOATs simply because there isn't enough top HWs on the roster at no fault of his own. Ngannou can't make contenders come up to beat.

Yea JDS and Cain were wasjed but Coleman and Randleman were elite wins lol.

JDS was on a 3 fight win streak and just finished Black Beast.

THAT JDS beats anyone on Fedor's resume lol

Hed have to win a few big fights after that to be in the talk of being above fedor

I disagree with a lot of this, but again that’s not important. You’re still doing the same thing as before: you “feel” that Fighter X is better than Fighter Y or whatever. How you feel doesn’t matter. There are specific things Fedor has accomplished. When Ngannou surpasses those, let me know. He’s got a ways to go.
