If Max was pulled off the card because of the way he looked, why wasn't Khabib?

I think they pulled him off because he looked too good. Max had a tremendous chance at beating Khabib which would cost revenue from the ufc not being able to promote that match up for a couple months at a later date . Tony and Khabib brought a ton of hype for a fight we all wanted to see. Replacing Tony with Max would have essentially wasted Max's hype that he brings to his fights. Think of a fighters ability to draw viewers(hype) like a commodity that makes a lot of money for you.

IMO the ufc rethought the choice for Max to replace Tony for two reason. Save Max for later to get more money in and to lessen the chance of Khabib getting upset so they can keep him making money as the Champ.

It's just a thought, basically it all revolved around the ufc doing what they did for the opportunity to make more money. They make more money and at the same time the fans still want to see all three(Max, Tony, Khabib) Fight asap...

Who knows.

How can anyone say that without seeing Max..

Don't fighters who show up on fight week well above weight get more closely monitored by the UFC and the commission? Max was a late addition and from all accounts had a lot of weight to lose. I don't think they just looked at him, they'd have done hydration tests and the like and decided they didn't want him cutting any more weight even though he apparently was within striking distance of making weight.

lol at max being pulled because of the way he looked.

complete nonsense.

Max winning is a fucking wet dream for the UFC. It ensures a speedy Conor return for Conor vs Max 2. If Conor wins again, there would also be a third trilogy fight at the other weight class (or a third fight if Max wins too).

It is easy money for both UFC and conor.

What are you on about? I never mentioned Conor or anything related in your reply.

In regards to what you did say, you're way off. The ufc would lose money if Max stayed on the card and beat Khabib for reasons I mentioned prior. Did you understand the hype = commodity analogy and how it backs up what I'm saying?

Pulling Max does a number of things; It lets Max fight again before re-matching Conor which is another fight card Max gets to promote(against Ortega I'm hoping). If Max v Conor 2 even happens it will be at 155 and after Max fights Ortega, I think we all know he wants to move up to LW. Pulling Max still gives the ufc the best possibility to reschedule Khabib v Tony given that pulling Max greatly decreasing the possibility of Khabib being upset. That takes away the opportunity to make that fight again right away with Tony as it is being made right now because Khabib did win. That right there is two huge fights that don't happen timely just by keeping Max on the Card.

Simply put the ufc gets to spread out 3 of the organization's most popular fighters across a number of cards in the next few months instead of using all 3 on the 223 card. That most likely happens before Conor even gets a fight scheduled.

Khabib, Max and Tony are going to make a shitload of money for the ufc just for the fact that those three guys are actually fighting right now. How many fights cards will those guys get be on before we even see Conor in the octagon again? How many fights have those three guys fought since Conor fought Eddie hmm? Starting to see my point? Conor kinda gets dwarfed in your scenario since Conor hasn't been making anyone buy PPV's in a long ass time and we don't know when he will again.

When he does return we won't even know who it will be against but I got a feeling it will be one of those three guys for sure and it will be huge. Dying to see it happen this year.

Don't misinterpret me as someone who dislikes Conor or thinks he doesn't make a lot of money for himself and Dana. "Easy money" Fuck yeah dude everything Conor does is pretty much easy money. He's one of my favorite fighters and personalities, his antics and actions of late have pissed me off but I still love that guy.

cos losing 40lbs in 6 days is absolutely ridiculous and would likely kill you lol... and using the time frame of 6 days is being generous, we all know it was more like 4 days.

You hittin the mescaline again brah?
In all seriousness..It's worth questioning why Max was pulled off the card under such sketchy circumstances.

and no, I was not "high" and I don't ever get high for that matter.

I seen all the pictures and video of Khabib leading up to the fight. He looked drained as could be. For many reasons, It just seems odd that Max was pulled off the card based on how he looked.

Max looked bad with a bunch of weight to go during the end of a 6 day cut.

Khabib looked bad while below championship weight at the end of a full camp cut.
