DDP seems like he was put on this planet to stop Khamzat, but if he can't do it at MW I don't see anyone who can.

Put that together with Khamzat's inactivity and he'll hold the title for years.

I can't imagine anyone being so excited about this. I don't think Kadyrov is so important to White that he wouldn't take the title away from his protégé Khamzat because of his inactivity. It wouldn't be the first time, either.
It would be the worst thing for the MW division if Khamzat won. And in one of the most active divisions in recent years. What's the excitement about that?
And how much would his resume be worth if he only fought once a year at most?

Many consider him unbeatable. But if a guy from the couch on short notice and a small WW can weather the storm, DDP will do just as well.

I didn't mean to accuse you of anything, that was just my general opinion on this scenario.
For me it starts with the fact that he is only allowed to enter the States with the good will of the POTUS. What if a new POTUS doesn´t have that good will? A champ with his inactivity compared to that drama, there is not much what could be more worse.

Nah... If he wins , I can see him moving up to 205 within two years.

Its more of cuz Saudi money, than because of Kadyrov. Thats also why "loyal" guy Khamzat which represented Sweden and then represented Chechnya (after "papa" Kadyrov gave him G class and etc...) is now officially representing UAE.

BTW he wont. His liver is fked up from peds...ehm wanted to say from covid.- He will either retire or take long ass pause and eventually cancel fight and lose belt due to year+ without fihgt.

He will most likely be able to enter USA until 2029, so there's potential for a long and active reign.

If he proves to be the best guy in the world at MW, he should be the champ, regardless of previous history with visa-issues and injuries.

It's not that difficult. Champs have been injured before and then there's an interim champ, and then the interim gets the chance for the undisputed belt when he's ready.

Or, they strip him, and give him a titleshot on his return, like with Jiri or Hill.

I think it's more so that people really don't want to see him as a champion, so they latch onto any negatives as an excuse.

If he is, like you said, the best guy, ok. If he wins I will respect that. But that doesn´t make him the best guy because it is his second or third fight at MW overall in the UFC. All others were failed weight cuts. How can you be the best with 3 fights at that weight?
With a champ DDP we will have no such drama. What´s not to like? And it doesn´t mean I don´t want him as a champ. If he wins fair and square and proofs me wrong with my prediction of max 1 fight a year, so be it.

I'm hoping that whatever was holding him up besides medical problems, isn't an issue any more. Khamzat does have potential to be active, he's proved it before. We got through Leon at WW, Khamzat at MW shouldn't be much worse.

I think Hernadez has quite the dog in him. he might be a guy gritty enough to go toe to toe with khamzat

I don't see Fluffy having as easy of a time of pressuring someone like Khamzat, who likely needs to be close to dead for Fluffy to have any success in the grappling against him.

I think even a tired Khamzat could weather a late Fluffy-storm by some well-timed lay and pray.

Also, there's a significant strength/power difference both in their grappling and striking.

I'm still very impressed by Fluffy and I look forward to seeing him against the other top MWs. Especially the ones not named Dricus and Khamzat!

I think he's improving in every fight and when he gets those 1 or 2 more fights under his belt, he might be ready. Not today. But in the future.
