If Jones were totally honest......

Everyone is on PEDs so only mental midgets complain about them. He’s arguably 24-1-2. Definitely lost to Reyes, and the Glover fight could’ve been stopped on inadvertent (lol) eye pokes for a NC. Hamill loss obviously bullshit.
 
The excuse that "everyone is on PEDS" is a really convenient one for those who don't want to face the music about fighters that are cheats. Throw a blanket assumption over every fighter despite a patently weak case that it is actually everyone.

"But I know a guy named Joe who worked in an MMA gym, and he saw EVERYONE use PEDS...." lol no.

I actually agree with a lot of what you say here, but I also think it is a matter of degrees- Jon is more troubled than most.

I would prefer point deductions and a percentage of your prize money go to the fighter that was fouled just like the old UFC. That way those that got jabbed in the eye or kicked in the nuts actually get something meaningful out of it. And after 3 or 4 fouls the cheater would be fighting for free.

I think point deductions/disqualifications is probably enough to both penalize offender and reward the recipient. I like your idea but it would have to be in the form of fines on top of payment otherwise a fighter not getting paid is probably illegal. Lol

If Jones was winning because of eye pokes then it's the referees fault for not calling it not Jones if Jones is winning decisions that he shouldn't then it's on the judges not Jones so again you guys are attributing things to him that's got nothing to do with him ... Do you guys actually think that Jones has enough power to corrupt judges or affect referees from calling fouls on him do you think that hes really the guy who's not even the number one pay-per-view selling star has that much draw power or that much say on what happens in his fights in live action come on guys


I don't like Jones because he used peds and I don't like Jones for the behavior that he's exhibited outside of the cage but when it comes to those close fights and him winning that's got nothing to do with him...let me guess the steroids made Jon throw the headkick at Cormier too ..

ITT people pretending rules were never changed to conveniently assist Jones cheating and are wondering why we can criticize him for eyepoking instead of disliking the refs who never penalized him.

Too much stupid today. Sherdog is always kind of dicey, but the ebb and flow is really taking us away from intelligent opinions right now. I don't know when this place will settle down from the stupid frenzy.

I'm still coming to terms with the fact that, in the past half-decade, a huge number of people that I share common interests with have made it their hobby (and their identity) to enthusiastically make themselves stupider. Sometimes I read these opinions and I think, maybe I'm the one out of place here, maybe I'm clinging to an adolescent passion and everyone else here is an idiot teenager or recovering from a head injury.
