If Jones fights for a BMF belt it just takes away from what that belt stands for

The BMF title is a joke as it is but Jones would make a total mockery of it:

3 Fights in 5 years
10 fights in 10 Years
History of not taking the biggest challenges
Would be the first fighter to try to wrestlefuck his way to a BMF title.
 
A HW champ ducking the Interim, followed by a BMF bout would essentially be 1 man robbing both belts of their purpose. The only way this could get weirder is if Jones insisted on fighting Ilia Topuria for it.
 
It's a meaningless belt, but still, Jones doesn't fit the definition.

Many of us would definitely cry "fowl" on that happening.

Jon could never fight for a bmf belt. He was never a badass anytime anyone kind of fighter. Dude didnt even take a coming off couch old washed up MW on short notice and is fighting a retired grandpa ducking the only challenge he has.

Pereira would be the only one that should get the bmf belt taking all these short notice fights while injured and with that killer mentality and fighting style. I dont even know how he’s fighting, dude had to put back his toe in place in his broken foot like the last 4 fights and was still taking all these short notice fights saving cards…
