If it goes to the judges then Jon will be favored in close rounds. Aspinall has to go into this looking to dominate and finish Jon.
Gus 1 was not close or controversial, scoring-wise. It was just a shock for everyone that Gus was able to inflict damage on Jones like he did.I've been thinking about this for a hot minute now, if/when Jon fights Tom, if Jones beats Tom but it's a really close fight how will the Sherdogers react to it? Or in other words, how many "Tom got robbed" threads will be made? Discuss.
Then you shouldn’t want the fight at all because if Jones wins the division looks even worseThat would be the worst case. We need a clear winner to get the division back on track
The right guy won and the controversy is overblown cuz of that shock, but the fight was close.Gus 1 was not close or controversial, scoring-wise. It was just a shock for everyone that Gus was able to inflict damage on Jones like he did.
If Jon doesn't finish or dominate Tom to a decision, this forum will undoubtedly cry robberyI've been thinking about this for a hot minute now, if/when Jon fights Tom, if Jones beats Tom but it's a really close fight how will the Sherdogers react to it? Or in other words, how many "Tom got robbed" threads will be made? Discuss.
I don't need to wait for Jon to lose already, I already saw it.Sherdog will say it DOESNT MATTER Big frank the true... goat... and Jon ducked him..... you have to understand you got kids they grew into (coughs) adults waiting for Jon to lose.... 14 years... to be exact the Hate is real
Yes, against mediocre opponents that would all get smoked by Jon if he fought them. So what?Aspinall has the shortest average fight time in UFC history.
If you're telling me Aspinall has fought for 25 minutes and the decision is 50/50 on which way it's gonna go, he has to have landed a lot of punches. Until I see someone actually take 25 minutes worth of punches from Aspinall and survive, I will stick to my view that it's unlikely.
If the fight looks anything like Reyes/Gus 1, then I think we'll see Jones seriously hurt for the first time.
Damn, yet another devastating one-liner from your end. Truly you have demonstrated Carlin esque humor and wit with every retort. Please, show mercy on little ole me, I can't take it anymore.Rehab?
Aspinall isn't going to decisions with Smith, Santos and Reyes.Yes, against mediocre opponents that would all get smoked by Jon if he fought them. So what?
If Tom does stream roll Jon and does KO him in the first, then great for him. I'll be the first one to come on here and admit I was wrong if/when that happens. But until then, I'll believe it when I'll see it.
It's much more likely than you think imo, Tom probably won't be able to finish Jon, and Jon will 100% cruise to a decision rather than try to force a finish if Jon is dominating. Which is a real possibility because Tom is still untested off his back, and in rounds 3-5.I think the fact that Jon would be able to take Tom to a decision after 5 rounds to be crazy. I can't imagine what the odds are of that happening.
Smith, Santos, and Reyes aren't in Tom's weight class, and therefore they are irrelevant to this discussion.Aspinall isn't going to decisions with Smith, Santos and Reyes.
Jones can obviously win, he might even be favoured to win, but his path to victory doesn't involve eating punches to the face from the biggest KO artist in the UFC right now.
