If Jones beats Tom, but it's a close decision (like with Reyes, Gus 1, etc) how will Sherdog react?

If the decision is close it means Aspinall is landing punches.

If Aspinall is landing punches, the fight is not going to decision.

So thankfully it's a scenario we're unlikely to encounter.

What metric are you using to come to that conclusion? When was Jon ever dropped, or even seriously stunned or wobbled by a punch to the face?
I could see it if Tom had Francis level power, but by Heavyweight standards, Tom doesn't hit THAT hard. And Jon is rarely ever hit clean, but when he has, he has shown he has a chin the few times he has. I doubt Tom will just KO him with one punch.

The white belt seems thirsty for reactions.
I got in TS's head when I mentioned DC interviewing a Jon Jones going in and out of consciousness from being tko'd and DC on the mic talking about "Hey pussy, you still there?"

I've been thinking about this for a hot minute now, if/when Jon fights Tom, if Jones beats Tom but it's a really close fight how will the Sherdogers react to it? Or in other words, how many "Tom got robbed" threads will be made? 🤣 Discuss.

Unless it's just blatantly obvious that Aspinall is robbed, I will ultimately give Jones his flowers. Whatever anyone else has to say about it, I feel like Tom will have been Jones' toughest test, and, obviously, likewise for Tom. I don't think either runs through the other, Jones is getting older but still does things HWs don't do, so Tom will have to do some A Clockwork Orange shit while studying tape for the fight, truly pay attention, as he will see things he's never seen before when he gets to the cage. Jones has had trouble against fighters with fast hands, in the past, and this is going to be very difficult for Jones, bc Tom has hands as fast or faster than Gus, Reyes, or Marreta, is much bigger than all of them, and Jones isn't faster after having put on serious weight.

Whichever wins, well done. The refs just don't need to hose anyone.

This is all, of course, if the fight actually ever happens.

Lol, the circle of life. Should the fight vs Tom and Jones go down, and Tom come out victorious, in 10 years Sherdoggers are gonna be like:

"Yeah, Tom beat a way over the hill Jones".

It's what happens. Like shit. It happens.

Well him and Gus rematched and it wasn't even close and ended in a finish I Reyes lost the third round I don't see how anyone can claim he won it I've watched it 12 times..

If Tom loses a close decision we'll thats on Tom..

Don't expect the guy with everything to lose to come out and do everything..

I don't see that happening though Tom is always the aggressor unlike reyes and Gus toms style is in and out brawling..

I think it ends in a finish one way or another I don't think it's a good way to fight Jon Jones though

They will complain just like they do now about Jones. So it is all the same.

Jon isn't going to run thru Tom nor will Tom run thru Jon. It will be a competitive fight & if Jon beats Tom unless it's a controversial win, a win is a win.

Aspinall has the shortest average fight time in UFC history.

If you're telling me Aspinall has fought for 25 minutes and the decision is 50/50 on which way it's gonna go, he has to have landed a lot of punches. Until I see someone actually take 25 minutes worth of punches from Aspinall and survive, I will stick to my view that it's unlikely.

If the fight looks anything like Reyes/Gus 1, then I think we'll see Jones seriously hurt for the first time.
