True, but the fact that he was in his mid 20s at the time, when a man's natural testosterone production is still quite high and he didn't have the physical mileage that a decade of training and fighting at the highest levels brings, at least opens up the argument that his use was particularly egregious when compared to guys who are almost 10 years older than him.

I think an important distinction is that guys like Chael and Vitor needed PEDs to compete at the highest level. That much has become obvious and it's perhaps even excusable to some degree (once you're in your mid 30s, your body just doesn't function the same way it did 10 years earlier. That is medical fact and exacerbated by years of grueling training and fighting). Jones is young, he's naturally big for the division and he has at least as much talent as anyone else we've ever seen before. Does he really need roids at this stage in his career? I don't have the answer to that, but it certainly seems fair to think that he has the tools (both physical and MMA skills) that he shouldn't need PEDs.

meh, I don't agree with this.
He was tested and found to be clean in all his tests up until here.

Trying to take away what he did previously is just asinine IMO.
