Why are there so many folks cutting down to LHW? I understand that they aren't as fluid as the lower classes but one shot can end a fight and we have seen it time and time again. Is it fair to call HW div weak?

Because he didn't know any better. Also, HW is really weak but LHW is possibly even weaker.

It is a lot harder to constantly dominate at heavyweight because of the one punch power and is the reason Fedor is so widely viewed as the greatest of all time.

In the HW division there is a very small margin for error so you have to plan every move carefully.

In terms of diversity of styles & skill-sets, the lighter divisions offer more.

In terms of one-hitter quitters, knock you into the Twilight Zone with a single strike - NOTHING beats the big boys.

It's not weak, it's actually the strongest overall division in the UFC. This "FW is stacked, LHW and HW are weak" stuff is just SJW manlet empowerment nonsense. The top 10 HW would murder the top 10 FWs or the top 10 LWs, two of the most "stacked" divisions in the UFC. The lighter divisions are stacked full of weak ass manlets who'd get their ass whooped by "weak" HW fighters.

I don't know about "weak ". If you compare to Bellator, it's extremely strong being that- what ?, Mitrione is arguably their best heavy?
The top half dozen or so middleweight s in world (ufc+mousasi)would have decent shot in beating Matt.

It's weak in that the barrier for entrance is very small. Any huge mofo willing to take a hit is fairly close to getting a UFC contract. And if you go down to TOP 30 - outside of some specialists like DC & Werdum - skill sets are generically similar. The only real difference makers are age and USADA.

But sheer strength and ability to absorb damage can overwhelm technique very quickly - which is why weight cutting exists to begin with. So saying HWs suck really depends on the context. They suck among themselves, they wouldn't suck if unleashed on smaller guys.

Power kills, and it kills skill at that weight. HW fighters get KTFO earlier in careers and just don’t last. It is what it is. It happens that HW divisions get cleaned out by KO artists or abnormally large and freakish human beings.
