If Holloway couldn't make 155 in a week..whats his WALK AROUND WEIGHT?

Ive met Max in Hawaii a couple of times. He is a pretty big guy, ide say he is close to 200 when not training. Report was he was at 186 this weekend and had been training a few weeks.

If this 186-187 talk is true (which honestly, I don't doubt that it is) I don't know why he would've taken the fight or why the UFC would've allowed him to take the fight if they knew that's what he was weighing. You're not cutting 30+ pounds in one week, especially at that light of a weight class. Maybe a HW could. I don't know. That's still A LOT of weight to cut. A LW? 30 pounds in one week? Nope. Not gonna happen.

The UFC should've moved onto backup plan #2 when they found out that Max was 30+ pounds over the limit. That was setting themselves up for failure.

He could make it. The issue was someone blabbed about how much of a cut it would be and NYSAC cancelled it. This is what happens when you get the government involved and a bunch of politicians who are solely concerned about their neck an red tape.

Rumor is he walks around 330lb off season…

Didn't he say he had 31 lbs to cut ?

That makes him 186 lbs, Georges's walkaround weight

He was offered the fight sometime on Sunday right? Official weigh in on Friday morning. That’s only 4 whole/entire days. Cutting just water weight wouldn’t be enough, there wasn’t much time to burn off the fat I guess.

If Max Holloway is in the 171-185lb category, that makes him a middleweight who cuts three weight classes so he can be the champ. What a pussy.

He has said that he gets pretty big. Thing is, he didn't get a chance to diet before hitting his cut. It may be a big cut, but he wasn't getting a proper chance to lose the weight for this fight.

176. Was at 159 With 3 hours to go and felt fine. He would've made it.

I've run through Holloway's opponents in his 12-streak, and most of them are between 2 and 5 inches shorter than he is. The few guys who are his height or taller are now fighting at bigger weight classes, with the exception of (I think) Cole Miller. But most of Holloway's UFC opponents have been 5'7, 5'8, 5'9 - one was even 5'6. Meanwhile, Holloway is 5'11. It seems to me he's the biggest guy in the division and he's the champ because he's beating on smaller fighters.

dude needs to lay off the spam musubi and loco moco between fights.
