IMO, yes. The greats are defined by the challenges they faced and overcame.
The consensus great in boxing is Muhammad Ali, despite fighters like Rocky Marciano, Floyd Mayweather, Lennox Lewis, etc... being undefeated.

Lennox lost to Oliver McCall and hasim rahman.. he did avenge those defeats though

Charles has won 12 of his last 13 fights.

Sure, he lost some earlier in his career. He made it to the UFC at a young age and was fighting tougher opponents off the rip than Khabib and Islam did.

So what if Charles has some losses? He has improved since then and has gone on an amazing run.

It doesn't matter if Charles had 100 losses. He went on an epic streak, won the title, has a better resume than Khabib, has a lot more fights than Khabib.

Khabib wouldn't be undefeated if he had the same path as Charles!

Khabib would be 44/0 if he had Charles Oliveira's "path".

Khabib would beat Oliveiras first 26 opponents in the UFC without much trouble,

After that it's Tony Ferguson who I believe would have given Khabib when their bouts were to have occured problems, Chandler was not in the UFC & from we have seen their is a very high possibility Khabib would have won against him also, other than that Khabib already beaten Poirier & Gaethje when they were both on a Poirier(5) Gaethje(4) fight win streaks.

Charles beat a Gaethje coming off 1 win and Porier coming on against 2 amazing wins against Hooker and Mcgregor and another one against Mcgregor in a "doctor stoppage." Essentially Khabib beat Poirier and Gaethje when they were at their most dangerous. As much as you don't want to hear it, but aside from Chandler which Oliveira won the title off of, Oliveira defended against Khabibs left overs.

Charles is an all-time great but he's lost far too many times to ignore the fact that the other guy you're comparing him to (Khabib) is literally undefeated.
If he beats Islam he's in the Top 5 all-time LWs, though.

Dariush wasn't even in the top 10 or on anyone's radar as a potential fight when Khabib was C & #1, Chandler was not even in the UFC and Chandler got a title shot by taking Poitiers left overs while Poirier opted to fight Mcgregor due to their history and above all that the money. Tony and Khabib fight should have occurred but shit happens, injuries, comas, whatever fucken else excuses, it's unfortunate but it didn't happend even though many times it was booked.

You bring up those 2 common opponents, but those 2 common opponents are both Charles only defenses and Khabibs + 1 Mcgregor.

Chandlers only wins in the UFC are against fighters who were coming off a loss, he's never won a bout against someone coming off a win.

Khabib would smash Dariush easily, Chandler would be like the Gaethje bout and Tony is the only fight that is interesting.

Makhachev fought Volkanovski in Australia, if some folks were to believe Islam got special treatment in Abu Dhabi then why would he get special treatment in Australia? In his opponents backyard.
