If Cain were to retired today how he will be remembered?

Someone who could have been great but injuries fucked his career.

LOL

Practically no one will remember him. Maybe when threads about retarded tattoos come up we will.

According to rogans podcast from earlier this year, approximately 200 years from now the Human race will evolve into one mixed race of brown people. I guess brown pride was ahead of his time. Cain is/was a beast with insane cardio.

No trolling please just sincere answers.
One of the greatest at HW and a SHOULD'VE BEEN the greatest. Based on skills alone, he should be the very best and if he never fights again, he's still top 5

At sea level he was almost unstoppable. Insane cardio, great gnp, a complete grinder and in your face fighter.

It has reached the point that he will be remembered more for “what could have been” than for his actual accomplishments. There was a 4 year stretch where he only had 2 different opponents and in the 5 years since then, he’s had 1 win over a low level gatekeeper.... that doesn’t look that impressive now let alone 20 years from now.

A lot of his legacy is dependant on JDS’ legacy because outside of those 2 wins, he doesn’t have that much. His style, when healthy, would be dangerous for anyone in any era... but Cain will fare better in “who would win?” discussions than he will in “greatest of all time” discussions

The most overrated champion ever , that beat the same 3 fighters over several years, and when fought werdum got raped . He has the most delusional fans that came up with BS like "sea level Cain".

He does not even crack the top 5 of HW.

Top 5(not in order )
Werdum
Fedor
Stipe
Crocop
Big nog

He wouldn't.

Seriously 70 years from now, people wouldn't remember him.....Fedor is the only guy who is gonna be remembered.

and I guess Brock for being a freakshow.
That's an interesting point. If we turn back the tables on boxing, who from 100 years ago is really remembered? Only a few are really remembered: Sullivan, Johnson, Dempsey and maybe Tunney, tho to a much lesser extent. Time has historically remembered heavyweights much better and it will be interesting to see if the same applies long term to MMA.

He’ll be remember as the best heavyweight to fight at sea level.

Best cardio we’ve ever seen at HW, nasty GNP, well rounded, never really saw his full potential due to an injury plagued career

"Brock Lesnar swinging at anything right now, Lesnar spinning out of control". I'll never shake that Goldie commentary as long as I live. Good shit

Most skilled HW of all time that was riddled with injuries. Basically huge waste of potential.

Just lol at CroCop being mentioned in the same sentence as Cain. Dude could hardly get a winning record in the UFC let alone win a championship twice.
