To answer your question, YES.

DC is a more accomplished wrestler (freestyle at least) with better standup and Jones easily dismantled him twice.

Askren is a better wrestler IMO, DC uses a lot of power in his shots. While Askren relies on persistence, technique and finesse.

Henry Cejudo is the best wrestler in the UFC, interns of accolades. With Romero a close 2nd ( debatable since Romero has 6 Olympic medals but Henry actually won gold in the Olympics )

A guy who hasn’t been taken and kept down by anyone against a guy who has to take and keep you down In order to win? Doesn’t sound like it would end well for Ben.

Oversimplifying of course and I’m sure the logic of some would be that Ben could take a beating and still need only one takedown to turn the fight in his favor, but I think it’s always tough when you match great specialists against high level well rounded guys. It’s the reason someone like Maia hit a wall at welterweight elite and he’s far more of a competent striker than Askren.

Also it’s tough to speculate about a welterweight being a 205er and matching up against the greatest fighter of that weight class.
