He did just as good against Jan (at the very least) as Pereira, but Pereira got lucky in his split decision that only one dumbass judge scored it for Jan instead two.
Anyone that scored that fight for Jan should be utterly ignored when it comes to scoring, as they're about 10 years behind on criteria. Jan had as many significant strikes on the ground as he had minutes of control time, was never close to finishing the fight, and was so beat up by the end that he couldn't stand up of his own accord.
Every draw in a UFC title fight ever has resulted in an instant rematch, so beating Walker after a draw for a vacant title was more than enough.
Yea? Weird, I don't recall a vacant title being drawn then rematched by the same fighters, since the only time I remember a
vacant title being drawn for other than Ank/Jan was BJ vs Uno, and that killed the division for a number of years. The rematches you're referencing are when there is already a defending champion that has a close match with a challenger that draws. Different situations.
Walker was also higher ranked than #8 Rountree's only EVER ranked win. CRAZY.
Since his title fight with Jan, Ank had only a NC (gifted, should have been a DQ but Middle East) and a win over Walker. Khalil was on a 4 or 5 fight win streak and had no issues fighting on shorter notice, which Ank has historically refused.
Ank is getting his shot and butthurts are
still bitching about the Khalil fight. I'm going to laugh if Ank doesn't last as long as Rountree after all the shade thrown his way.
Or how about Pereira getting his titleshot after only one LHW fight which was so close a judge could've easily fucked him over like they did to Ank.
As I said earlier, anyone scoring that fight for Jan doesn't know the sport they are watching. Junichiro Kamijo, who scored for Jan, is a
notorious retard who has had a number of dogshit scorecards, including Moreno 49-46 over Royval, being the only person on the planet who scored Park v Tavares for Tavares, and his latest fuck up was 29-28 Gane over Volkov.
Poatan got his shot doing something Ank couldn't: beating former champion Jan. That's the reality regardless of your kvetching. Poatan then went on to beat every other former champion since Jon Jones besides Glover.
In addition, you're just flat wrong, the judge that made it a draw didn't fuck Ank over. If you actually look at the scores, Ank being given a 10-8 in the 5th round solely on D'Amato's scorecard is what made it a draw instead of Jan winning the title. Saul gave Jan 1-2-3.
Shavkat, Khamzat and Islam also declined a 300 titleshot. Shavkat was given the titleshot in his next fight after "ducking" because of Ramadan at 300. Ank is also more active in the UFC than Shavkat.
Shavkat has had 7 fights in the UFC, and each one was a barn burner. His last fight, his only non-finish, was against an equally highly touted prospect. Ankalaev needed two fights to beat Johnny Walker. He then got another ranked win in Rakic and is getting his second title shot.
Shavkat also didn't get into the postfight press conference like Ank did after he beat Walker telling the entire world "I am ready for Alex, I want to fight him at UFC 300, he better not duck me," then proceeding to duck the fucking fight.
He's got the shot this Saturday, you people really don't have to complain anymore. He's ranked #1 with his only current top 5 win being Rakic, who isn't even a real top 5 fighter and I say that as someone
from his fucking country.
