Yup, that is why I picked Conor.

Cub definitely earned it but he's fighting Edgar. He could very well lose, Edgar is a brilliant fighter. Cub will be surprised by how fast and technically competent Edgar is

from a sports ranking perspective, it should be Cub if he beats Edgar. Excitement level with a new, skillful contender who's one fight past of being a prospect, it's Conor.

That's the fight I want to see of the two, but ideally Conor could fight Lentz, get that US rassler test out of the way and get more experience against ranked guys, while Cub would get beat up by Aldo again in the process.

Since the UFC doesn't want to risk that, I'd choose Aldo/Conor over Aldo/Cub, but Cub would deserve it more.
 
I voted no.

Just don't understand the rush and also moving him up the queue when there are guys clearly ahead of him currently.
 
Connor should fight the winner of Edgar x Swanson. Then get Aldo.
 
Yes. Mcgregor should get the next shot because he's exciting and there would be lots more money in it. Those are the two main reasons to set up a fight.
 
Yes, I'd love Aldo to finish Mcgregor lol if Mcgregor had more experience before title shot (like a wrestler's test), then I'd say he would win. but Aldo will chew his legs

I don't understand why facing a top wrestler is a determinant for fighting Aldo. Aldo isn't going to try and take him down. This is by far the most interesting match up for Aldo and McGregor.
 
I don't even like cub Swanson but he clearly deserves the shot and shouldn't even be fighting Edgar. It's just not fair. Really cub should be next and conor and Edgar fight for the shot after that IMO.

It will be a more exciting and money-making fight than Cub or Frankie or whomever else.

This sums it up perfectly..

I'd also add that the UFC frankly needs it, as their ppv buy #s need the boost...

Put Connor and Aldo on the Superbowl Card. That leaves ~ 4 months turn around for Aldo and you have a big name in Aldo against the big mouth in McGregor.... Then sit back and let Connor hype the shit out of it/make his name in the public's eye.....
 
McGregor should fight winner of Frankie/Cub for the next No 1 contender.
 
Yes, it will teach the rest of them to stop with the
"I'll fight anyone the UFC put in front of me" bullshit.
 
If Cub beats Frankie he needs to get next shot. Enough is enough already. If Frankie wins he should fight Connor for number one contender.
