So I did some things in my past I regret.. I no longer have that fire inside me of life.. Im numb and depressed...
I dont have the Conor Mcgregor excitement for life and challenge...

I feel more like Jon Jones. Numb and a bunch of demons just going through the motions

Would this effect my MMA career...

Just in case you're not trolling, I hope you get better and eventually manage to either find or create some meaning to your life.

Depression is no joke, especially for men. Don't be afraid to get help. There's nothing wrong with wanting to make yourself better.

Am in the same boat also bro , don't keep it in , talk to someone , if you need a chat am good for it , god bless and stay strong.

Mma is like stand up comedy, you just got to go and do it

Join a gym

If you can train for a few months regularly, ask about amateur fights or grappling tournies

At no point in that process should your past matter...you either go through with it or quit (which is fine too)

I dont see how brain damage will be helpful with your condition but it might just make life taste sweet again.

The past doesn't exist anymore and you are free to create the future

I have also been dealing with depression in the past.
MMA helped me in many ways to get better. Just watching the sport alone boosts your testosterone level a fair bit, which is one of the best ways to combat depression, imo.

Agree with Waylon. If this isn't a joke, depression is for real. I was diagnosed with major depression d/o after making some regrettable mistakes and I am still in recovery. The thing about life is that while you can't change your past you can affect your future.

If it is anything legal, MMA is a pretty forgiving sport in that regard. Alexander Gus had a few incidences and almost became champ, and we don't have to go into jones. If it is something internal, don't feel uncomfortable to seek help, it's a real thing.

Feel free to PM me.

Go to a psychiatrist. You are not going to find the answers you are looking for or need on an online forum. Also, yes, depression or any mental blocks will affect you tremendously in sports or in any life endeavor. Take care of yourself before trying something that could physically and mentally hurt you much worse than you already are

Doesn't sound like getting punched in the head is what you need

Getting punched in the head is exactly what you need

Find something you enjoy and make that a passion... Cant change the past... but you can live for the future.

Do it man! We’re supporting you<Fedor23> well, maybe, this is Sherdog, you know.

Just don’t quit your day job

Just read your post about the ACL injury. Don't let that feel like the end, a lot of MMA fighters have had past injuries from when they were young. GSP had an ACL injury and is one of the greatest MMA fighters ever. So did Conor McGregor and Dominick Cruz

Wow, never seen sherdog come together to care over what is most likely a white belt troll thread. Beautiful.

Just think of it as your "tranny phase" that you've moved on from, doesn't make you 100% gay. Closer to 95%. In any case just leave it in the past

Hi. I feel the same. Honestly you can fall out of love with MMA but there are so many other things to purue.

MMA is anger. Fighting is anger. Perhaps ask yoursekf why are you are angry and address that real thing.

For me perhap i am angry perhaps i do not let my real creativy flow. Martial arts can get boring, it is about reptition to perfection - it is not for everything but it does not make you less of a man.

In all honesty i can fight but got "bullied" at work because it is non verbal, we are not a society that values violence any longer. Unlock your creativity and fly free.
