    I'll start this off with a little bit of info about myself. I've been lifting on and off since I was 19 years old, ran SS with some success but fell off due to work, school, relationships etc. Generally i'd reach sticking points and give up, returning to the gym months later. Anyhow my life has stabilized to the point where i've been able to lift regularly without little interruption for the better part of a year. This summer, against the advice of the entire internet strength and conditioning community I switched over to 531 with less than stellar numbers and had a bad experience(as I should have known) Knowing I wasn't doing myself any good I switched back to a weekly LP, performed a major deload, and revamped my form in some places.

    Goals:

    I'd like to hit a 1000lb total within the year, maybe drop 15 lbs and lose the gut, and win the lottery.

    Out of boredom I did 2 light sets each of tricep extensions and dumbell shrugs while I waited for the GF to finish her workout. This is not something I regularly do.

    (Today I fucked up and forgot to use my microplates ended up doing a 5lb jump instead of the prescribed 2.5lb. For one reason or another this was one of my best benching sessions in some time, I haven't hit 8 reps on an AMRAP set for a few weeks. So in short hooray for me being a dumbass!)

    Real shit deads today, I've been having some trouble breaking off the floor lately. Not sure if there's a glaring weakness or if its a mobility issue. I think i'll try to foam roll more often and possibly post a video to the forum after my next session.

    Skipped the BW chins today and did some hammer strength machine row for 2 sets of 8 with 90 lbs loaded on each side. I was just curious to see how the machine worked and felt. Will return to chins next session.

    Last set felt real heavy today, didn't eat as much as I normally do before training. Maybe that had something to do with it.

    Came to the gym Saturday morning to spot my girlfriend on her bench, in between one of her sets I busted out a set of 8 chins and tweaked my shoulder, was in pretty bad pain for an hour. Well during my squat warmup I started to experience the same pain after a set at 295. Tried to fight through it and only managed the set of 3 on my work set so I called it a day and went home.

    I'm going to take the week off and deload on everything except dead lifts when I return.
