Nature & Animals I think I might be a robot.

Ah crap! TS figured out he's Player 1. Time for the reset.

How's the robot feeling going? @Phlog fancy joining the ABC Warriors...... I think Joe Pineapples position is available.......

Maybe all the AIs in this simulation are autistic people.

Always fancied myself as a bit of a Hammerstein. Sense of justice, fiercely loyal, bit of a rebel. Mostly I like hammers.

Gemini says they based on my answers to her I am most likely Joe Pineapples. I think ones personal view of oneself is critically flawed so I'll go with what you and my AI say, it's probably a better judgement.

Just remember that even though we're not real, you can't kill us. Or you'll spend the rest of your simulated life in simulated prison, which still sucks.
Yup.

The idea that learning you are sentient AI within a sim would mean your life has no meaning, is just false.

In all practical regards it would not mean anything different than finding out, for instance, that there is a God and he has a master plan for our reality where he knows all outcomes before you are even born.

We still would have some control over the directions we can take in this reality that can lead us to a more comfortable life or less (become rich or a hobo) up until we hit that end point and die and we want to live the best life during those years. It would be the same for our Sim selves. You would not want all your final years of awareness to be in a prison or being homeless.

Am I giving the game away........

Show us your joystick to prove you're a robot.

Xenforo really did a number on Sherdoggers’ mental well-being.

I think the universe is a simulation, that's the highest probability, that it is essentially consciousness or AI and that we me be all elements of that artificial intelligence. We are the universe thinking about itself.

Thomas Campbell, physicist and consciousness researcher was on Joe Rogan, I don't listen to that show much but this seemed to be on topic for me ATM.

He talked about us being engines of anti entropy, that love was fundamental in moving away from entropy.

God is love, describes the nature of reality, this simulation, the highest calling.

I took 5MEODMT a few times once and experienced becoming one with everything, losing my self. I went up the file tree from c:/universe/humanity/Phlog right up to C:/universe and it was glorious. I was filled with love and kindness.

When I was 18 and walking around south Asia I was in Singapore in a borrowed apartment. I didn't speak to many people, I spent most my time in a meditative state. I was more open to intuition and suggestion than any other time in my life. I smoked cigarettes, walked barefoot in the rain. On that balcony doing some of my autonomic writing I found that I had written that we were all part of the same universal consciousness, like the tips of a sea anemone, that we could in the right state access further down the pikes, or branches to more universal aspects of our nature.

I think I was describing this model for understanding the universe then, intuitively.

I don't know if I believe in reincarnation, I think time is a sort of illusion in the sense that it's like a special dimension, just because a chair is finite physically doesn't mean there's a spirit of chair that manifests elsewhere, beyond it's end.

But, it's more reasonable to me that the universe is running like AI learned to win at Go, running astronomical numbers of simulations. That explains many world hypothesis, it explains where the processing for our latest quantum computing efforts takes place (if all our universe was a computer for the time of the universe it couldn't process the calculation we've done). So maybe we are in all those other universes, in the sense that we are one with the universe, all part of the same consciousness.

So here I was pondering if the singularity was already here: https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/the-singularity-is-it-here.4323459/

But now I might be playing with mental illness because my suspicions have progressed.

I think the singularity has been and gone and that now I'm a robot simulating my life exploring meaning.

I've been thinking recently how if I were to be post singularity I would simulate all sorts of realities, be a God etc, but eventually the simulation that would be most appealing would be the one that was maximally meaningful to me.

I think my life is almost perfect and that the imperfections are necessary so as to provide counterweight to the positives. For example having parents wealthy enough to give me a good start but not so wealthy that I don't have to work. Because we see what happens to people that are born with generational wealth. I've got to experience wealth, and poverty but live at above average, which is the scientifically most maximal position for happiness.

It's like that in almost every area.

I remember when I was 4 thinking how everyone else could be a demon, in the programming sense of the word, although at the time I just thought they might be simalcra rather than human. I imagined when I left the room that they might show their real faces and dance about, that my world was essentially a stage.

Now aged 45 I think it might be true again. None of that means I'm going to fuck with the game, I mean it's just as likely I'm just incredibly lucky, someone has to be. But man, the chances are slim.

I don't know what this says about you guys. I don't know why there would be other future robots populating my particular simulation, but then maybe we all do that for each other so as to experience the most.

Even the nature of time and space being a block universe imo is how this would come into being as a simulation. No need to run the program slowly unfolding as it's created, the whole entity would be created by infinite processing power in an infinitely short space of time. It would only be our perception of it that would require linear time and space progression.
Just how high are you, mate?

It's ok if you're a robot, just don't be Marvin from Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy

Unfortunately this stuff is what happens sober. I usually self medicate to think and feel less!

Here I am, brain the size of a planet and they ask me to take you down to the bridge. Call that job satisfaction? 'Cos I don't.”
