He barely beat Thompson in the rubber match and barely beat Guida in 2006.

His most impressive win IMO is against Aoki but Aoki is overrated too and he couldn't finish him.

Can't wait to see him get wrecked in the big boy league.

He barely beat a former top contender six years ago? Oh, wow. Also I don't think you realize how good Thompson is.

hes top 5 in the world easy...so when people claim hes top 3...thats not really overrated

50-45 Melendez
50-45 Melendez
48-46 Guida (drunk)

I agree with this. Cesar Gracie's entire stable of fighters are good fighters but not great fighters.

Well, you're certainly going to see how you opinion holds up. Wait until Thomson and him step into the division.

I think Gilbert is Caesar Gracie's best fighter. I don't think he's the best fighter in the world at 155 but I have no issue putting him top 3-5ish.

All fighters you mentioned in your post are overrated as well as every other fighter on the planet. They are all overrated.

What would compel the TS to talk shit about a fighter he clearly knows nothing about? What an oddball.

lol, i assume youre talkin diazs, jake, and gilbert...

3 top 5 fighters arent great? is only top 1 fighter considered great?

If anything Melendez is underrated. In 2006 Gilbert was still very young in the sport and on a tear. I believe at the time MMA wasn't even 100% of his focus. I remember him saying that it wasn't until after he lost the title he had to make the choice to fully commit to it or stop. I believe you have The Punk criminally underrated. Thomson is a savy vet and a tough fight for anyone at LW. Gilbert could come into the UFC and make an immediate impact. Can he become a champion? We don't know yet but that's why we are all waiting for him to make the jump over. Let's see how far they can go.

Melendez is not overrated... its just Thompson is underrated.

That was a real score? Are you joking or not, I can't tell?

Was it Cecil?

Damnit, Cecil...
No, Cecil was reffing and even he was taken aback when that scorecard was read. The judge in question was Jon Schorle who has a history of being both an incompetent referee and judge.

I feel the same way about him. He hasnt done anything that would put him in the talk about #1 LW especially sinces hes fighting outside of the super stacked UFC LW division. They should throw him up against Pettis imo
