Saying someone who knocked you out cold in the first exchange has no punching power isn't exactly helping your case.
 
there would be much better ways for him to secure getting a rematch than telling all who will listen that the fella who sparked you in 13seconds has soap hands

People are laughing at him. People laughed with Sonnen. And Sonnen still had to go earn that second shot by beating Stann and Bisping. Aldo is a great fighter who is making a fool out of himself.

Aldo is being too cocky, he doesn't have the reach and crazy chin of Nate. If Conor lands on him what he landed on Nate, Aldo would get wobbling and nervous.

Yes. One exchange. He got caught. The way it happened only proved that Conor can finish Aldo. 13 seconds aren't enough to see who is better.

For all we know this could be a JDS-Cain type scenario.

Anyone who thinks these few seconds prove anything we need to know about this match up does not know what he is talking about.

Aldo was undefeated for ten years. Many people have gotten a rematch for way less. Sonnen never held the belt and he tested positive after the first fight.

And plenty pf people were laughing at Chael.

You're conflating multiple arguments here. It doesn't matter if hypothetically maybe Aldo starches Conor in a rematch. If we're comparing Aldo and Sonnen, Sonnen had reason to have swagger and walk around with confidence and belief that he could beat Anderson, because he exploited Anderson's major weakness and beat him up for 23 minutes. Sonnen could say, "I'm going to put you on your back and pound a hole in your face" and it had logic. Aldo has none of that based on the first fight with Conor. You might believe that he can kick Conor's ass and that it was a fluke, but nothing in the fight showed that. So the end result is Aldo calling the guy who knocked him out cold in 13 seconds a "pussy" with "soap" hands. It makes him look like a fool and begs the question of "why should a guy who got knocked out cold in 13 seconds by a soap-handed pussy get a title shot?"

You're again conflating arguments. If you think Aldo deserves a rematch based on his long streak, that's fine. But it doesn't change the fact that his trash talk in the wake of Conor losing to Nate makes him look like a dope.

I am in no way saying that Sonnen was a better fighter than Aldo. I'm saying that if Aldo is attempting to channel Sonnen's trash talking to get a rematch, as the OP posited, then he's doing a shitty job of it.
