I speak too loudly

Some people are just loud like you say you dont notice it. My mom is the same. Some say its due to not having been heard in childhood i personally just think your trying to annoy everyone.
I think part of it is cultural too, different cultures are different, chinese people are loud as hell. I asked a guy one time and he said it was because they had to be loud in school to be heard, I also read that because they come from a farm tradition where people are many yards apart that they had to be loud to be heard. I'm a native american, most of us are distant and quiet so imagine being around all these yappy assed people, it's hard as hell.

My wife kept telling me I speak too loudly. my sister sometimes told me that too. I always dismissed it as rubbish.

But today I was meeting with a group of long time friends in a restaurant and they made me the remark.

I have to speak loud for my job. I have to be assertive. Or else I wouldn't even be in that position. But now has it become a trait of myself in everyday life ?

I'd like to tone it down a bit but I don't even realize that I'm loud. To me it's just speaking.

Anyone has had this problem ?

You talk loud, not the worst thing in the world sir, so do I.
I prefer people speak with passion rather than give me the verbal "dead fish".

Id talk to you any time and wouldn't even give your volume a second thought sir.

Kinda funny the american stereotype is the opposite of the native. Americans are known to be loud and i have encountered that a few times at airports.
Indians aren't loud, americans are, but native Indians/indigenous aren't.

Many cultures are too goddamned yappy, we have a large influx of immigrants and many of them are constantly yapping on their cell phones, your uber drivers or your 7-11 workers are always on their phone with an earpiece talking about god knows what and us americans aren't far behind. I don't know what' so important that people have to constantly be yapping or commuincating or texting. I annoy people because I don't even text much and I hate cell phones because people can get ahold of you with their own wants.

At a restaurant or public setting, its obnoxious when some loud asshat doesn’t have any self awareness.
Its one thing to need to be heard, its another to be oblivious to your volume.

I get in trouble for being too loud. When I know/think I'm right, the needles on the EQ start going into the redzone.
I actively need to work on my gain structure so as not to amplify so much that the result is distortion.
Brain is an amp, words are an amp, mouth is my speakers.

in many cases it's a sign of overfeminization too. The old "speak softly and carry a big stick" used to be a common adage. Being loud and hysterical is feminine as hell.

Yes I have the exact same problem tbh. Always have. I speak too loudly. My whispers are louder than others whispers and etc.

Whenever someone complains to me about it I just stopped speaking to them. Best way to handle it.

Unsure what you are you are implying.
I just talk over people because I'm right and they are wrong.
I get the whole strong silent thing, but you think loudmouths just came about recently because blue haired feminists stole our nuts?

i just said in many cases. In just as many other cases it's just because you talk to loud and don't realize it. Don't get hysterical now.

Oof, I should have capitalized my previous post so you would have known I was typing loudly.
My point was proven to myself by myself as usual.

Cultures and personnality sure play a role, but I wonder if having grown up in an appartment vs a house play a role. And possibly the body constitution.

Got a countryside pal, a bit fat and barrel chested that seems to always shoot out at maximum volume while we're talking the most mundane shit. Grew up in a house.

I'm more thin and grew up in appartements in the city. I speak low volume on a quiet setting but have no problem amping it up in a noisy surrounding or more automatically if I'm drunk.

We're all different and all that but I don't get the point to shout at your pals hears in a chill setting. Dunno. Maybe that's his base setting, maybe we grow up different.

I'll tell my wife right now. No more talking in this house.

I usually ignore the zionists bots outside of the war room forum but they follow me here. Hate for it to pollute the berry, it's a relaxing place.

I think it's because they believe they own this forum, and the other forum and all of the forums anyway. Because some book told them 3,500 years ago or something like that. Im not sure.

😉🤭

Yeah, I have the same problem. But whatever. I try to keep the volume low when I can, but I don’t really care too much about it.

Hearing loss is the first thing that came to mind...

I have to hear myself talk, so I can get loud when I wear ear muffs or it's loud where I am...
