Gotcha. It's all jiu jitsu to me. My instructor started his training under Rodrigo Gracie, and Rodrigo used to always tell him "If he taps, it's jiu jitsu."

Honestly IMO, they're all Jiu Jitsu, and all the same. They just have different philosophies I think. Rodrigo is cool dude. Pretty funny too. He taught one of our classes when our professor was out of town.

Ximu was a luta livre guy before he started training bjj, wasn't he? So maybe there's some separate ranking with regards to that?

Otherwise it makes no sense.

Gustavo "Ximu" Machado and Gustavo "Guga" Machado (the 1/4 guard guy) are two different guys, both of whom are Gracie Barra and neither of whom are related to the Machado brothers. Which Gustavo does the TS mean?
