but I figured I would just leave this here for you guys to watch.....

Also, is Joe commenting on shots that obviously don't land like they do bias or shit commentating or both?

He's a bad commentator sometimes. In his defense though, when a fighter I like is fighting an overmatched opponent, I usually react the same way to every little slightly successful thing they do. I Don't lie about how well the other guy is doing though.

I said in the pbp how amazed I was.

Convict nut huggers are now convinced he would beat Khabib. Just by the bullshit job that drugged out Rogan did on the mic.

The asshole already apologized on social media. He dried up, and discovered he called a pathetic night of fights.

If the man himself realized and apologized for his bullshit. Who are the assholes that defend him ?

Edited. Added a few words for clarity.

He was more shocked that Al didnt get mauled in three rounds. He loves Khabib.

It's exactly because of shit like that, that so many people believe GSP/Hendricks was a robbery and that TJ/Cruz was one-sided.

It's human nature to be bias. Also it's his job to make it seem like the fight is evenly matched especially in this case. You also have to keep in mind that Joe is watching these fights live, so he will miss certain angles

This guy has been doing this for 20 plus years.Hes a walking encyclopedia of several disciplines of MMA.Of course over 20 years calling cage fights/MMA he's going to misstep here and there and come across bias in some instances cause he does answer to a higher power and sometimes it just happens.
Give the guy a break.Hes still here and not going nowhere.....must be doing something right.

GSP getting his ass kicked is why people think it's a robbery, not because of Joe Rogan

in their defense, they don't always have a great vantage point, are in a noisy venue, have production staff and their booth partners in their ear, etc.

tbh, I kind of like guys calling the fight as a fan, but I agree that bias is bad for the casuals and really sways their opinion. most of us probably don't care as much, because we see and understand what is happening and don't 'need' nearly as much analysis/commentary.

btw...if anyone wants to see perhaps the greatest example of unapologetic bias, watch the Voice, Sefo, and Koglin calling Overeem-Hari's K-1 GP fight - pure gold LOL

(start watching at 5:15 if you don't care to see the whole thing, with the fight ending a minute later)

How many more of these threads do we need?

Rogan has been inconsistent for years now , this hardly surprises me , but to be fair to Rogan Khabib having his chin up like that was pretty bad defense.

Oh joe.

You know who else pulls backward and raises his chin up when someone tries to attack.... he’s no amateur

I like Rogan, but you're right that it's nothing new. Check out GSP-Parisyan. He gets fixated on certain things at times. He does it on his podcast too. He'll go on telling us something we've heard a hundred times, when we really just want to hear his guest speak.

From the bit of the provided clip that I watched, I get the impression that he was getting more excited about the Iaquinta shots because he was worried about the upset. He probably thought it would be safer if Khabib just took Al down and beat on him. It's not as exciting when Khabib lands, because the only possible outcome is the expected one: a Khabib victory. But every time Iaquinta throws it has the potential to completely mess up the lightweight division's hierarchy.

I'll have to watch the whole fight sometime. I can never hear Rogan in the bar.

Hogain is and will be always biased, but i think he said those things because of the advice khabib had in his corner.
that being said, i know khabib won't fight like that against McG or Tony given time to train and prepare since Al was a late late replacement.

Not defending Hogaine but that's what i saw.
