I Just Realized What The UFC Is Angling Toward With Conor, GSP, and WW.

More division stalling?

The first 2 fight are logical but irish jabroni and GSP is another example of Mcg running the show while WME only care to pay the interest of the loan that bought the UFC.

Too much that can go wrong.

First of all RDA can win but following Rory's game plan? He's short, southpaw and doesn't have an amazing jab. He can win because his pressure game is a bad matchup for Woodley's backing himself against the cage style but he absolutely can't fight like Rory.

Second, if they wanted GSP vs McGregor for the title they'd book GSP against Woodley/RDA not Conor. He's far more likely to win and that way not only can they do GSP vs McGregor for the WW title, but it can be champion vs champion (provided Conor still has the title)

More likely than all this though... is that they just book GSP vs Conor out right. IF they want to make it happen better to do it immediately when both are at the top instead of giving either guy a chance to drop first

Believed? Well I believed that bulletproof monk was based on true events, but when I tried to run up a sheer wall and step on mid-air to reach a conveniently placed balcony I ended up with a broken pelvis and fractured fibula.
Well that's cause you're an idiot lol.....yes Conor thought he would and he still thinks he would win......where have you been the last 2 years

to be fair I wouldn't be shocked if Conor vs GSP is booked for interim WW title in Woodley's absence.

I don't see Conor fighting GSP it's too big of a mismatch

GSP would take him down in the first 30 sec and win a gnp tko at 4:37 rnd 1

Conor vs GSP will be at a catch weight so Conor doesn't lose credibility when GSP beats him.

Nah. Conor or GSP have absolutely no intention of ever fighting Woodley. Mainly because he actually will cause fewer PPV buys. Seriously, GSP himself is worth a certain number of buys, but Woodley is worth negative buys. Fighting Woodley would damage GSP's PPV cut. The only person that's going to fight Woodley is another non-needle-mover who just wants a belt.

Connor and GSP will fight for GOAT belt.

Then after that both will retire, because there's pretty much nothing left of value in the UFC. I'm not saying I like how this would go down, just being realistic. Personally Mcnuggets vs Tony is what I want to see.

I've been saying for a while that Conor and/or GSP will be in a WW title fight very soon. With the intention being a Conor-GSP title fight. Personally, I believe they're going to use Woodley's shoulder surgery as an opportunity to create an interim title fight involving Conor and/or Conor.

This could very well happen but its hardly something the ufc would have pre-planned. Rda has just happened to be extremely successful at ww and has earnt his shot by beating a former champ.

TS they could just do a money fight with Conor, the lineal 145/155 champ vs. GSP the lineal 170/185 champ in Jluy in Vegas during international fight week.

And with all that ^^^ going on his Conor still holding on to the LW belt..? I got no problem with a RDA/McGregor doing it should've happened fight @WW this time a weight Conor has fought at no title fight just fight. Give up the LW belt and just fight for money, the belt is only a burden & weight now and casuals don't give a f*k about belts.

Tony becomes Undisputed champ and fights Khabib and have their should've happened fight, Woodley gets to heal his shoulder wait for a clear contender to shake out, everybody happy everybody winz...

As for GSP, C'Mon Man...

<bball1>
Won't even stick & move Woodley GSP lost a few points with me on the Colitis Come back Mike was nice but not enough @datfnguy think my eyez have been open.
It's about time you see your boy for who he really is. He ran because he 1 did't want to fight that version of Big Rig again, 2 didn't to get bit by USADA himself after all his bitching about roids and now he is running because he doesn't know who he can beat out of Woodley and Rob. I'm not saying he's a bitch, but a bitch would do the exact same things he is doing.

Yep That’s why gsp came back at mw claiming he can make lw, and they offered nate a title shot at 170... with Woodley opting for surgery, who knows we could see Rda vs Conor in March for an interim title, they will give Conor any fight he wants it’s not really a conspiracy

Sure UFC was putting all their eggs in the RDA beating Robbie than Woodley basket.

I hope rda beats Woodley and gets a big payday fight with GSP or Connor

I've never heard anyone throw up the idea of GSP/Conor until now.

Thanks TS.

I'm sure there are dudes in suits whose job it is to project things like this with many fighters. All the possibilities - and which ones are perceived as most likely along with what to expect with certain matchups and $ figures etc. At least, if I were in charge I'd hire a suit or two to do this sort of thing in vast detail if I were a smart businessmen. Having even a vague idea of what you can expect from the dynamic product that is mma can give a huge advantage in terms of sales and sparking interest. So many variables emerge based on how things goes for one outcome to the next.. best to be prepared for all.

You cannot push a certain ideal outcome though, or at least not invest too much into it. In mma, anything can happen at any time - part of the nature and excitement of the sport - so yes, there are ideal scenarios and the company will be prepared for that but don't ever hold your breath. Remember the biggest fight of all time, GSP vs Silva? Me neither. Never happened.

Also unfortunately this fight I believe would not deliver. GSP is just too smart to play into Conor's strength and will keep him out of his comfort zone for much of the fight if he is able to. Which I also believe he is more than capable of. Skill level of the two is enormous but GSP has the advantage for being so well rounded. Size wize - clearly GSP is the bigger fighter and that is a huge factor when two really good fighters go at it.

GSP takes it via DEC maybe Conor takes the first round maybe two.

third belt comin'

What Conor achieved is utterly amazing. However it is also his downfall. Being confidant is great, but being over-confidant is a liability. The sport is very tough. GSP is as tough as they come as well.
