I have never seen an episode of Game of Thrones

The only negative I can think of is that there are a lot of characters to keep track of. It may also lose something if you've been exposed to the major spoilers over the years.

It's a great show if you like violence and tits.
 
tbh i didnt try got until the 4th season because I heard it was all about showing gay sex and stuff. its the best show ever on tv since seinfeld.

and I still have trouble remembering all the names lol

Honestly, the first half of episode 1 is average. The white walkers are irrelevant for ages and they are mostly just setting the plot with the Starks. Have a crack at a couple of episodes.

You miss out on a big early reveal(tower), some seriously impressive dialogue(Tyrion) and plenty of great future wow moments.

I love the books because the story is incredible but the writing is mediocre at best. I recommend them as there is a lot more of that story, but they are absolutely not a million times better than the show, which is fantastic.

add in an amazing an unpredictable plot. the show actually has more blood and tits than the books, but i suppose thats what hbo does to things....no complaints here.

ts you'll get lots of haters on here, simply shit talking GOT because so many people love it. then youll get a handful who genuinely dont like it. if medieval/fantasy isnt really your thing, then GOT may not be. most people arent truly hooked until the last episode of the first season, id wager. give it a shot.

I never seen it either. I play video games in my free time. I don't see many movies either.
 
i wish i hadnt. i saw 2 eps, the first two from season 1 and couldnt get into it.
 
It's a good show that was great when fresh. I feel the same as I did with the walking dead.

IMO its the exact opposite of a gimmick show and its far from a lot sex/nudity/especially male genitalia...there is all that stuff in there to degrees but the reason its so popular is because it has high production is well written the acting is very much on point and its filled with twists and turns ups and downs victory and defeat
 
It's a good show. Obviously some people are going to be contrarians and hate it just because it's popular and others just won't like it. It's worth a watch to see if you do like it or not, but to write it off just because you think it's overrated without even watching it would be pretty silly.

I like the setting, storylines, etc. I hate shows and movies that are predictable and it's quite different from most media obviously. There's a reason why it is as popular as it is.
