I hate what both Nate and Twood are doing

I think Woodley wants the fast track to being considered WW goat, but I think in hindsight (and even right now) he will be remembered as the worst WW champion because he did everything he could to avoid fighting the contenders, even though that is the only known path to becoming division goat.

Woodley's media antics are far more memorable than his fights.

what a snoozer of a fight.
twood scared of competition.
rda and covington.
the exciting fight is twood and covington imo

like 2x the size of him

Only 2x?

Nate has put in his time. He wants the biggest fights to make the most money at the last leg of his career. Just like all of the fighters before.
Not to mention he’s fun to watch fight and people will pay to see him fight.

Stupid prizefighters. Fighting for prizes and what not and etc.

Nate chasing the money the fuck is going on with UFC???

This is frustrating as a fan not going to lie.

I hate that Nate is chasing the money and therefor trying to get fights in a division he has no business being in, as well as fighting guys that will maul him that are like 2x the size of him... Hell Twoods 1 thigh is the size of half nates body.

Size difference aside, you have a guy who has done very well in the LW division, trying to fight at WW that he has never perfomed well at, its frustrating and annoying because nate is a great fighter at LW and can be a champion if he chose to grind for the belt and not for the money(from fans perspective, i dont blame him trying to get rich).

As for Twood, im extremely disappointed that the current WW champion is trying to chase random fights and dodge actual contenders in his division. This man was calling him self the GOAT of ww division when we saw those 2 razor close fights vs wonderboy(lots thought wonderboy won the 1st fight), but regardless, i dont want this to be another conor mcgregor division dodging show were the belt never gets defended properly and people are padding their stats fighting randoms instead of actual top tier challengers.

From a fans perspective, sure it can be a great fight because lets be honest, most of the Nate's fights are fun, but seeing nate lose for the simple fact of money when he can easily challenge the top LW contenders in his own division and actually compete there is sad, hopefully we can go back to actually fighting top tier talent and earning belts as opposed to just having a popularity contest filled with random rematches and hand picked opponents.
Dude, wtf do you want them to do?

The UFC offered them a big fight. Are they just supposed to turn it down? They didn't offer the fight to themselves.

You are part of the problem. You blame the fighters. Your dumb post mentions nothing of the matchmakers or WME. They want the fight too.

hopefully yamasaki reffs this fight.
wouldnt mind seeing nate eat ground and pound for 5 rounds.

Although nate's entitled attitude is a bit obnoxious, at least he isn't the champion and he isn't holding up any division; he got a taste of two red panty nights and now doesn't want to go back to fighting for peanuts. Can't say I blame him for that.

Morning t-wood on the other hand is the ww champion, and the only thing he's done since winning the title (a shot he was awarded after sitting and ducking for over a year, after a boring split decision over gastelum) is campaign for "money" fights. People try to defend him by stating that he faced the #1 contenders (i.e. thompson and maia): well, isn't that what the champion is supposed to do? Why should he get special accolades for that?

If all he wants is money fights, then vacate the title and fuck off. Oh, I forgot, he's not a draw and wants to rely on the title as a prop to make himself relevant.

Nate doesnt give a shit about fighting wws, neither should you.

The problem all stems from a lack of star development.

The UFC ratings and buys last year sucked donkey balls. As a result, instead of paying attention to a logical progression of contenders and making matches accordingly, UFC has decided to match up fighters who have name recognition regardless if the fight doesn't make any fucking sense whatsoever. That is why we have GSP vs Bisping, Diaz vs Woodley, DC vs Stipe etc.

Without casuals caring about the up and comers, the UFC is desperately trying to keep eyeballs on the Octagon.

You seem to ignore the majority of my post which is champions hand picking opponents or fighting irrelevant fighters instead of defending their belt or fighting the top ranked opponent. Yes matchmakers can be blamed, hell even fans can be blamed if you want to throw shade at everyone involved, but im just saying my opinion on it, Nate is a great fighter at LW division, and the fact that Twood who is a WW champion is asking for stupid fights instead of fighting who is next in line(this used to be obv) now he is asking for fighters out of their divisions who arent even ranked...
Fighters especially champions hold a lot more power in who they fight and when, just look at DJ refusing to actually fight an equally talented champion who was going to cut down to his weight class all because he wanted to get the record for title defenses.

Everyone knows about Conor situation holding up entire division, or with the constant interim belts or rematches or these days that make no sense, like how JJ got finished by Rose yet she gets a rematch? If you get finished you should not be able to get a rematch, this is absurd.

I guess my point is money fights are fun, but its bad for long term health of the sport, people destroy their rep by losing to fighters they should never have fought in the first place.
