I hate the way the interviewer starts leaving while the interview is still going.

This is a very disingenuous thread you've started here.

Well, I've never worked in this sort of production before. Live broadcast production is a beast outside of my experience. You'd have more relatable experience in entertainment media, I'd imagine.

I wanted to know what other people thought. My own thoughts were the same as yours, but it baffled me that the UFC would have producers that didn't notice this thing immediately and try to fix it. This is the exact sort of shit I'd look out for in my work, and these guys are getting paid way more to do their job than I do mine, I'd think.

Wrong. The animals love me, even if I don't love myself.
Well. It is a blessed thing to to have the space and freedom that you do. Animals are great, and I am glad they take to you.

And that you have had your questions answered.

You're not getting what's happening, bruz.

They don't cut their speeches short. While he's saying his last part, DC will literally turn his back on the fighter and be walking out of there lol.

It's weird and looks unprofessional.

DC can at least stand there and finish what he's saying, then leave while the fighter is lining up with their coaches for the post-fight photo.

DC waiting that extra few moments doesn't impact the broadcast in any negative way. Him and Felder bailing the way they do makes it look unprofessional and off. I'm not the only one who has noticed this.

I don't like it either. I find it disrespectful to be honest, but I never cared enough to talk about it...
But since you started a thread on it, here I am.

Welcome to the "UFC Walk off During Interviews Hate Gang", mate.

Maybe if we make enough noise and start a Gofundme/OnlyFans or something, the UFC production team will see us, make some changes, and finally DC and Felder will stick around to finish what they're saying before sprinting back to the commentary booth.

Rogan does the same thing. They have to keep interviews short unless it’s the main event

It cracks me up. Love watching DC's fat ass walking away while he's like "Can't wait to see you fight again, brother."

No idea why he does that. It's weird but funny to me.

Im sure its been mentioned but they probably try to limit the interviews as short as possible. They absolutely dont want fighters talking aboit themselves for too long

They are fighters, they have nothing smart to say anyway.

Yeh, I get that, but then they need to learn to control the interviews better.

This is a perfect example lol. He'll be saying that while he's at the cage door with his head down, speaking into the mic.

Him and Felder just leave really abruptly as well lol.

It's so weird.

Yes but I guess they take this current thing over visual of interviewer fighting for mic with fighter lol

Explain to me how DC waiting an extra 3 or so seconds before leaving is going to affect the broadcast production.

He's not desperately needed back in the booth. Anik and Bisping can handle while DC finishes up in the octagon.
He's leaving that way at that point because he's already given them an extra 20 seconds and they're yelling in his ear to finish it.

Well, then they need to learn how to control the interview better. You don't see Rogan scurrying out of there mid-sentence.

The way DC and Felder are protecting the mic, you'd think they're worrying every fighter is gonna go Kape or Radtke on the mic or something.

Rogan definitely does it too.

Dude is half the size of DC. Even the WFWs try to steal the mic

No he doesn't, Rogan will usually say "We look forward to seeing you fight again" and end the interview by shaking their hand. DC is already out of the cage while he's still talking to them.

I'm not wrong.
lol you haven't said anything despite multiple posts, so yes, you're not wrong

By that same token I'm not wrong about all the quantum mechanics I've spoken about in this thread (yep this is my first post in this thread)

Mostly video game narratives and dialogue these days, when I can get a break from feeding animals and my MMA gambling addiction.
That's hard. I almost never give a shit about the narratives because I'm not at all invested in them. For every Fallout New Vegas (gold standard for narrative/dialogue IMO!) where I'm truly invested in what happens there are 20 that are just jumps from one explosion noise to the next with a nonexistent plot.
