This is a very disingenuous thread you've started here.
Well, I've never worked in this sort of production before. Live broadcast production is a beast outside of my experience. You'd have more relatable experience in entertainment media, I'd imagine.
I wanted to know what other people thought. My own thoughts were the same as yours, but it baffled me that the UFC would have producers that didn't notice this thing immediately and try to fix it. This is the exact sort of shit I'd look out for in my work, and these guys are getting paid way more to do their job than I do mine, I'd think.
