Honestly, Conor shined today deserves all the praise. I know that Cowboy is the cream of the crop but he's still a great fighter, but even Tony Ferguson could not finish Cowboy the way Conor did.

MMA math is meaningless. Fighter A finishing fighter B faster than fighter C really means nothing. Plenty of superior fighters fail to do the same job as fast as plenty of other inferior, less successful fighters did. That's because no two fighters ever faced the exact same challenge.
