Cyril is an elite fighter and striker but you have to understand that jones is an experienced champion and an exceptional grappler. Jones submission game is exceptional and he never panics, is calm, and is experienced.

At HW it seems his power and size is coming into his frame which makes him a stronger wrestler and more problematic for the division. You are comparing an all time great who is considered one of the most well round fighters to a striker who just does not have the experience. Jones grappling, submission and wrestling game is better than his striking and the reason he was considered as a phenomenal fighter when he was a rookie.

It comes down to experience as Hardy stated, and jones has a ton of it. The reason it looked so easy.

He is elite. At striking. His grappling is laughably inferior to someone like Jones and it has failed him both times it's been tested now.

His grappling was his downfall against Ngannou with one leg, who himself is not a grappler in the slightest.

If Jones wasn't allowed to wrestle then we would have a fight, as his skills stack up right now the Blaydes and Aspinalls of the division are going to be licking their lips at the thought of fighting Gane.

Cyril is not that elite. He is good relatively to the 2023 unidimensional HW but i have almost no doubts now that if this was 2005-2010 he would lose to Mir , Big Nog , Werdum and Fedor for sure. You need to be a complete fighter if you fight Jon Bones Jones. Jon is a complete fighter with amazing striking, grappling, submissions, high fight IQ, and a heart that never gives up no matter how hurt he is. If you are weak in certain areas like Gane was weak in wrestling, Jon will find your weakness and make you pay. He knew Gane was a weak wrestler and pretty much rag dolled him and choked him out on less then 2 minutes. Jon the GOAT, he is a complete fighter.
