I don't understand the UFC with their decisions

The heavyweight division is trash and the future of it looks bleak.(Financially speaking) To recuperate any amount of money from the division is a blessing for the world's greatest MMA promoter. Dana is just happy having a *big* fight at HW.

Bisping vs GSP was also a quick money grab as Micheal wasn't likely going to defend successfully given his competition, age etc. Personally I don't think Dana actually believed GSP was going to defend either. But I can see why he wanted GSP to fight; GSP on average is a better draw, had a lot of potential future matchups in the work and was younger. Not to mention the MW was looking better than ever.

Dana and the UFC knows they are only going to squeeze one more fight out of Jones and want to get paid from it. Same with GSP. They'd rather get that 1 extra fight than no fight.

UFC has plenty of time to make money off Aspinall.

If Jones beats Stipe and retires I imagine Dana will stop sucking him off. He's probably doing it because Jones is the biggest draw in the company and he sees dollar signs. Once Jones is no longer making him money his tune will change.
Most likely. It's all about money to Dana and that's the primary factor in his actions and decisions.

Jones is a draw, Jones only wants to fight Stipe. The Stipe fight is just as big or bigger than an Aspinall fight in terms of sales, its not like Tom is some mega star like Brock and UFC is losing out on not doing it. Dont really get where the confusion is. Fighters want it, the event will sell and everyone makes money.

The alternative is they say no to Jones, he retires and Aspinall becomes champ which is gonna happen anyway only UFC gets another big PPV fight out of Jones before it happens.

Jones situation reminds me of GSP... Both were given a title shot in a higher division, but if I'm not mistaken, after the fight with Bisping, Dana White pressured GSP to defend the title, and when he vacated it, there was some kind of feud.

Why is the UFC repeating the same mistake with Jones and wasting the division's time? Is this just some marketing strategy they’re pushing with Jones? First, they ruined the Ngannou-Jones superfight, and now they're wasting Aspinall's time—a guy who could be a great product to sell as champion. Are they really being smart?

Do aspinall need to suck dana's d?
Dana white is operating on the hope that Jones will fight again. That's why he is gassing him up so much.

You put Dana White in a business meeting with any man on this fucking planet, there’s only one man coming out on top

I know it's a joke but funny enough Dana has failed at every business venture he attempted where he wasn't significantly backed up. First the Fertitta's and now Endeavor/TKO, that's why he's so desperate to make powerslap work.

So youre saying you believe Dana white is not a successful person?

He's successful as long as he's with rich buddies who give him a long leash.

Exactly. He'd still be teaching boxercise classes if not for the Ferittas financial backing. He failed as a boxing promoter when he tried himself. He's failing at powerslap now, despite his laughable claims about its viewership.

This isnt the same situation.

Dana knows Jones is retiring, he wants this fight anyway, cos somehow it erases the sting of Ngannou leaving, for him.

GSP came back to get another belt and dip and Dana couldnt do anything about it.

GSP > UFC

GSP defeated MMA instead of it going the other way around.

Mongs keep repeating that this fight is all about money. But they never explain how the difference between a Stipe-Miocic live gate at MSG vs the live gate they could make with a different headliner is worth derailing the HW for years and the loss of marketing opportunities by not having a UK HW champion.

PPV doesn't matter. ESPN deal. Look it up.

Whatever explanation there is for it, it's clearly not about money.
