"I dont cut much weight" - Fighters where this is actually true?

Fact everyone saying Jiri should fight at MW, 23 pounds lighter than his fight weight, shows how mental cutting is these days.

They both looked pretty soft at those weights (especially BJ, obviously)

Yea for sure I’m assuming machida was around 225 out of camp and then when he was training for a fight he’d clean up his diet and walk in around 215 before finishing the small cut to 205

Thats "normal" for modern MMA, a few MW´s fight heavier than that.
What about vegan Jon Fitch who claimed he only cut like 4lbs as a vegan……
I would only consider official data, just like some brag about how heavy they are after the fight.

I think Heavyweight listings are kind of cheap, lots of HW don't cut to 265. I'd say LW Edgar didn't cut much

Just want to note, the 199lbs against Cormier... that was Dan fully fed and hydrated.

He was on camera on the fight week blogs eating full meals. He also noted he made a point to get his water/food weight up.

That fight was a really dumb booking, even by UFC standards.
Good booking isn’t always getting the most competitive matchups available. A lot of the time it’s about showcasing guys you want to build up and letting the older generation pass some of their rub onto the newer one. It was a mismatch for sure but I think the UFC just wanted to show off Cormier, which this fight did. Dan was on the way out after losing 3 straight before stopping Shogun but he was still well known enough they wanted to squeeze as much out of him as they could.

You gotta look at fighters of yesteryear to really find someone who didn't cut much. They all cut a crazy amount now. Some more than others. The age old saying "it doesn't matter how much they cut as long as they make weight" philosophy is still very much alive.

Joe Lauzon didn't cut much at all, he is not a big guy. I saw him at UFC Fan Expo in 2014 and he said he is 160 and never more than that, and I believe him, he is small in person.

i dont believe gsp is only 180 lbs lmfao
hes one of the biggest WW of his era
i dont also believe hes natural like what he claims to be.

gsp is a good guy but when people see a body like gsp who is natural .they expect they can achieve that as well.imagine your bodybuilding but an MMA fighter is building more muscles by just doing cardio and punching stuff
thats crazy
