I can't get over Ciryl loss...i feel empty.

I'm a die hard french MMA fan, I felt very sad.
But that's ok, losing is part of the process.
GSP, Ngannou they lost and they grow from their loss. Gane yesterday learn more than his 10 fights combine. He is very green, I just hope his team will make the right adjustment. But imo Gane should follow GSP way of learning MMA
Gsp would make a camp with Danaher for his BJJ, to the Canadian Olympic Wrestling team, Freddie Roach for the boxing, Tiger Muay Thai guys for his Muay Thai but he sticks with his first MMA trainer Firas Zahabi to mixed everything.
Imo Gane is too much close to Fernand. Don't get me wrong, Fernand is a good coach, he should stays with him for his MMA, but he needs to listen other sounds bell. He should make a camp for exemple with Danaher to learn proper leg locks lol

Heh it was a razor close fight and Gane was only 1 simple mistake from winning it. Very impressive considering how young he is in his MMA career. I was bummed for Ciryl too but I'm over it. It's honestly impressive as fuck going 25 minutes with Francis and receiving no brain trama whatsoever.

Doing OK...thanks for checking. 26 hours sober. Withdrawals don't seem to bbe horrible, yet....but my stomach and guts....ugh.....so annoying. I don't always get a chuckle when I see people literally crying when their team loses a big game or something. I mean, I'll get a bit sad, but life goes on. Maybe I'm just not a big enough "fan" of those things.

Like I cried about Layne Staley....loved alice in chains and listen to ther stuff yet and still get teary.

Layne was all of our boy sir...that shit broke me up for a couple of days.

I only watch fighting, so I definitely understand being pissed for a day or so if your guy loses but life is more important.

26 hours ....that is forever so now you can just walk away and find something else to fill that time/void however you see it.

Nobody standing in your way but you sir.
 
1. This is just a sport. If you're this emotionally invested in the outcome, you should probably re-prioritize some things.

2. You clearly jumped on the prospect wagon too soon. I never fully buy into a prospect until they've: (1) had their cardio tested; and (2) fought a high-level wrestler. In this case, Gane got exposed for having atrocious wrestling. Personally, I had high hopes for Gane (and still do). But he has a lot of work to do. Guys like Stipe and Blaydes would likely steamroll him right now. The good news is that HW is largely devoid of good wrestlers.
 
What is the most depressing is his post fight interview. Cyril didn't aknowledge Francis high fight IQ in this fight, repeting that he was out-wrestled more by the strength of his opponent than technical ability. If Gane stays this delusional and can't understand that Ngannou out-smarted him and his team, he won't evolve.

He said in the post fight conference that's his team did a really good gameplan and he congrated Francis and his team for it

maybe, but if they match him with a wrestler he will do a camp based on that. I think they should match him with Blaydes next to see if he can learn TDD. If he does, he is ready for another title shot. Maybe to Ngannou vs Stipe 3 in between on Ngannou vs Jones.

Ngannou had like 3 takedowns, one reversal, more dangerous moments, more ground control. Gane had.. not much really. Except winning the first two rounds bouncing around. I actually respect Gane's style, but how can he win this ? Even him said "sorry" to the camera right after the end of the fight

he could still make a case for the GOAT

He barely lost and lost a decision at that. If he rematches and beats Ngannou he more or less erases his barely loss by decision
 
Gane look dejected even before the match started? Was he paid off. If not gane’s team did not prepare him well. They go in expecting francis to only rely on striking and did not prepare for ground game, if not it will be easy win for gane looking at how francis have 2 bad knees, but one upside about francis win is that the ufc fighter pay get highlighted more for those amateur fighter these means alot
