I hit 5/6 in Lotto 649 once and won $3400. There were something like 820 other 5/6 tickets for that draw so it's diluted. Still a nice injection of moolah!
Yeah, it’s kind of like math, exact numbers only, otherwise you can argue that 25 is almost 52, just flipped backwardsThere is no such thing as "almost" winning the lottery. You eithe win or not. The relative closeness of the numbers mean nothing.
EDIT: I am not referring to getting all but one number right. But getting say a 19 when the number is 20.

Also, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
Statistically, your number set is no closer to the winning numbers than 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
I worked with a guy who had a ticket that hit no numbers, but each was one up or one down from the winning numbers.
I also worked with a guy who won a Toyota Camry on a Tim Horton's 'Roll Up the Rim' coffee cup.
I was just being a dink. When I hit that 5/6 I mentioned my heart skipped about 8 beats and then exploded when I read the last.....Statistically same chances to be drawn (in theory, not really) but numerically they are much closer to the winning numbers.
My set of number is statistically closer to the drawn set of numbers than 99.97834% of all the other possible combinations.
It’s the same as a grenade missing you by 10ft vs 10 blocks.
I've had some good luck in draws myself over the years, and I completely understand what you mean when you say you feel it coming. It's fucked up.Poor bastard.
I won a 65” 4k TV at a raffle held by the poker club I go to. I felt it coming so when they said “and the grand prize winner is….” I yelled out my name. BOOM! I was right.
Speaking of lotto some people have won a 1,000 a week for life scratch cards but it wasn't for life so what you get is one lump sum of either a million or so or 52,000 ever year for at 20 years. The jackpot was $162,000,000.
I choose the numbers myself too, I utilized intentionality and tried to channel my fingers towards the direction of the winning numbers from the future.
Seems like it worked. The previous drawings I had chosen mindlessly or random generated numbers and hadn’t gotten close in a long time.
In fact for the power ball I was initially gonna click on the number 8 but I hovered and second guessed myself.
It is only a matter of time before I get it right.
Might as well start maxing out my credit cards and spending like I already did so I can better manifest the visualization.

You need to hit up chill doggie, he's got that utilized intentionality going on.Dang…, I wanna win as well

The turn of good fortune would have been too sharp, fate wasn't about to allow it. At least you're not in prison, though. Count them blessings, bud.

Pretty mature way to look at it, bud. Generally always something good that comes from the bad. Wouldn't change having gone to prison for anything, absolutely needed it, bc I was a fucking goon. Now I'm just a guy, and I'm OK with that. That was a couple months before my arraignment, if I won I wouldn’t have worried my head off like I was.
Maybe I needed to go thru it as a lesson.
Instead of wasting that money gambling, if you invested only $1 a month every month towards a savings account for 40 years, you'd have $500.
The set of numbers I choose are statistically closer than approximately 99.8% of all possible combinations.
