I have seen myself and others on here praising Fedor for being the HW GOAT. I loved his fights in his prime. He was so athletic and calm.

After watching the documentary Icarus about the Russian doping scandal I realized I support Fedor’s claim to HW goat even more.

It is blatantly clear Fedor could have never used steroids in pride. According to Icarus and the evidence that makes him virtually the only top Russian athlete to not be doping which is truly remarkable.

Even though Fedor is a patriot, he knew steroids were wrong and took a stand for what’s right his entire career even while steroids were commonplace amongst his fellow Russian athletes.

Truly amazing.

Ya I was being a little sarcastic. I really am a huge Fedor fan though...and it’s pretty obvious pride was the Wild West.

It’s just challenging to imagine Fedor was clean given the national culture and culture in Pride. If he was that is incredible. I am not accusing him I am just saying the environment sure wasn’t a deterrent.

I think Fedor didn't juice, because he used to be lean and muscular (the picture with Aleks holding the protein), but then got a fat dad-bod. It's not like Barnett who is just a perpetual fatty, Fedor at one point was actually pretty yoked, so the potential for him to gain muscle and be lean was there.

Although he could have been taking something else, I don't think he was using steroids.

Why does it matter if he was on PEDS ??? Pride did not say it was cheating so using them was not cheating. The only reason its an issue in the UFC is because its cheating and very hard to get away with so only the wealthy fighters can really do it to gain an edge. So you do not have an even playing field when some are and some are not.

But if something is not against the rules and you choose to do it or not to do it that is on you. Everyone in Pride could have been on PEDS and would not be cheaters they would however be cheaters today.

If laws change you do not punish people who did things in the past
If rules change you adapt or you become a cheater what was legal is no longer allowed
