Hypothetically, how would Khabib vs Danis go?

Hmm

If you said Tonon vs Khabib, that I could get behind. Danis lost to every elite he's come up against, but Tonon is a tested and proven world class BJJ player. He's been destroying in One, and is in the same weight class. I think if they were to fight and actually attempt to grapple each other, tonon would handle him.

Calling Danis a "decent grappler" immediately destroys your credibility.

Dillon is a high-level blackbelt competitor. He's also a bigger guy than Khabib and wouldn't be afraid to engage him on the ground. It's an interesting fight.

Actually, your worship of Danis destroys your own credibility.

Danis is not as high-level at grappling as Khabib, who blows Danis away in striking and overall MMA cage technique also.

Apparently, you forget that Danis' venerated mentor, Marcelo Garcia (before he kicked Danis out of his gym, and a true grappling legend) was utterly humiliated in MMA ... because he is not a true fighter, either.

Grappling is not fighting, and Danis isn't a fighter. He isn't even a grappler at either Garcia's level, nor Khabib's.

Remember, Khabib makes mincemeat out of BJJ blackbelts on the ground (ask Dustin Poirier).

Every wrestler or grappler who has ever sparred with Khabib has nothing but reverence for Khabib skills + tenacity.

Even middleweight Luke Rockhold puts lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov on a pedestal.

Rockhold said, "I play with lightweights, but I don't play with Khabib. I can't imagine anyone his size beating him."

Marcelo didn't get humiliated at all. He had a bs stoppage on a cut, you obviously haven't even seen that fight.

Really?

From what I saw, he did well early, blew his load, and Kim Daw Won started to unload on him.

He did absolutely nothing to Won in the first round, who looked almost bored, easily defending every "super grappling move" Garcia tried, biding his time, waiting for Marcello to tire.

Won attacked him with some good shots at the beginning of the second ... and Marcelo clearly didn't like being punched, was back-pedaling, and appeared relieved that the fight was stopped on a cut.

If Marcello though he was "all that" as an MMA fighter, why not come back for a second fight? Why quit your MMM career, after your first fight ... unless it was "a little too much" for you?

Grappling doesn't carry the same risks, and it's an easier road to make a name in.
