Hypothetical: McGregor vs Mayweather in a modified Kickboxing bout?

It's pretty clear each would win a fight in their respective sports because the skill gap for both is pretty large but what would happen in a modified kickboxing fight?

Round number and length similar to boxing.
Inside a ring.
Leg kicks, head kicks, and mcgregors spinning kicks legal.
Similar weight gloves compared to boxing.

In a fight with kind of hybrid rules who takes it? Does Mayweathers vast boxing skill carry him or does the kicking aspect favor Mcgregor in this fight?
 
McGregor but it would be quite close.

Won't happen but that would answer the question about who sport have the best striker.

I don't think so. Floyds defensive style does not lend itself well to kicks at all.

FLoyd is an absolute master at boxing defense, but he would get eaten alive with kicks.

Obviously it won't happen. That's why the term "hypothetical" is in the title. Put the chance of it actually happening aside and tell me who you got in a fight like this?
 
He's allowed to kick the body as long as he spins?
 
Mayweather would modify Conor's face in any kind of striking event because his kicks aren't the best and he is mainly a boxer. The gap between their hands is insane. Conor would kill Floyd in a real 1 on 1 fight like MMA.
 
Conor kills Floyd if anything more than just hands are allowed.
 
Sounds like some of the crap they do in Japan....One round MMA, one round K1 rules.
Didn't go so well for Aoki vs Nagashima in 2010 when Aoki stalled out the "K1 round" only to get KTFO in the "MMA round".
 
I would watch for sure. Floyd is the better boxer by an almost immeasurable amount but good luck shoulder rolling a high kick

Don't see it happening though if Floyd and Conor ever fight it will be in a boxing ring and Conor will get dismantled
 
Conor would win if kicks are legal but it would be rather close considering if this hypothetical fight were to happen Floyd would at least practice some type of defense for this stuff.
 
How many more times do we need to see boxers fail against kick boxer to realize that boxers are not good with defending the kicks???
 
In a kickboxing-esque match where McGregor is allowed to kick the legs I feel like Floyd would be in huge trouble. I more "fair" match would be a karate-esque full-contact sparring match, where punches and kicks are legal, but all must be above the waist, and no elbows or knees. I feel like this is the most likely scenario Floyd would agree to, assuming he would agree to anything other than a pure boxing match ...

Now I'd say Mayweather survives till McGregor gasses then finishes him off
 
I just want McG to throw a wheel kick in a boxing match at take the DQ.
