I will keep this brief.
Lewis is borderline top 10, he surprised me. He is really improving. I still have questions about his cardio and his defence against a good kicker but he is really looking solid. 6-2, every fight win or lose ending by (T)KO. Exciting guy. The one only other thing I would say is when he comes up against someone with good striking and good takedowns as well he might struggle. But there's not as many of those guysin the top 15 as there used to be.
JDS vs Rothwell I did a separate thread. In a nutshell Rothwell is still legit but he has a problem with dudes with elite footwork and speed.
Ngannou is looking promising considering how new and young he is. He also has massive reach. I am going to reserve judgement on him for one more fight but he needs a step up in competition. 2 fights in the UFC 2 knockouts he is off to a good start at least.
Johnson vs Tybura I also got wrong, Johnson is an awkward guy to deal with, he is very strong and a good all rounder. It was a tough test for Tybura and I think it just came a fight or two too soon. Tybura was adjusting adjusting and he was right to be a little cautious but he really started to take over in the final round. He was landing shots. Johnson got decisioned by Rosholt not long ago. Tybura is only 30 and 13-2, I think he will crack the top 15 maybe next year. Some of these CIS guys just have to adjust some things for US-style wrestling-based fighters but I say Tybura is going to show more next time.
Cannonier honestly I thought when Jordan KOed him that was all I needed to know. He is a black guy fighting out of Gracie Barra Alaska, it's a bit of an odd one. Hey he got a sexy KO, he can go up to the main prelim card but I'm not sure he is going to last long in the UFC.
Gonzaga should retire, Mir presumably is going to retire, Asker should be cut, Curtis Blaydes is overhyped but is still only 25, if I were his camp I would have told him to stay in a smaller promotion for a couple more years at least. Rothwell is solid top 10. He's already fought loads of guys, I'm not sure who he shoudl get now. I still want to see him against Browne. Maybe the loser of the title shot?
