• Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version.

HW power is overrated?

I thinks there are some hey points that could make a big difference:
- Probably you didnt have vaseline in your face when you got hit
- Probably the skater didnt have mma gloves on when he hit you
- Did you roll with the punch?

These are some I can think of from the top of my head...

I'm sorry if I have some grammar or spelling mistakes but English isn't my mother language

Newman is a manlet... damn...
haha I admit I'm not 9'4'' like you, but I'm working on it, eating as many Skittles per day as possible to get taller and more jacked like you. Weren't you already 8'2'' when you were 13 years old? if I remember correctly. So I'm still having to catch up :P :P

8'2 is not that bad. At least you can squat 4,000 lbs for 20 reps and 6000 push ups with one hand (or was it 7000 I forgot)

Big, heavy hands create more of a thudding strike. I've taken most of my damage from heavyweights. I have never fought someone my size or smaller. The feeling of pain on impact is different too, obviously. Maybe like glancing contact from a spear vs a battering ram.

But isnt it weird how the “biggest puncher in MMA history” never made any of his opponents bleed? The math just doesnt fucking add up

Blunt force trauma often doesn't show much on the surface. But you bleedin' on the inside...

Bunch of factors, I'll list some;

Skin of the guy your hitting
Angle of punch
If you have vaseline on your face
If the guy knows how to roll a punch
How clean a shot lands (almost all shot catch a piece of something)
The punchers size and shape of hands (some guy's just have sharper knuckles). Smaller hands cut more. Smaller the surface area to force ratio, more likely a cut. Elbows and knees for example. Francis has huge hands.
Scar tissue
How many strikes have landed in that area.

And many more
Yeah, I could probably make Nate Diaz bleed in a bareknuckle fight if I could just land a punch or two...though I wouldn't beat him, much less Ngannou or Aspinall.

Lmao, The level of your Conor delusions knows no boundaries.
All of his KOs except the Cerrone fiasco were at 145...Tom Aspinall would literally break Conor in half when he was fighting at 145.

Conor would've done fuck all to Tom.

Yeah cause Conor is smaller and doesn’t have a HW chin. Did I say Conor can beat heavyweights? I said he can match them in terms of power. There’s more factors at play than just power

Don’t put words in my mouth. I never said Conor would beat Tom, don’t be disingenuous and don’t troll me.

This thread is so full of people who never sparred regularly. Skimmed the first 2 pages, literally nobody.

Fighters usually have broken their nose many times, which makes it softer, also the cartilage is even more softer. Like rubber.
You can form the nose way more with your fingers. After 1-2 years of not getting hit, it gets a bit harder again.

Depends on the individual nose of a human being. The straight/long/thin caucasian ones(Rory) break the easiest. Black and asian noses don't break as easy, they are more round and flat.

Cause he fight big boys with big chins not manlets whose chin, nose and eyes are all a whisker away

Punching is not about weight always, it the technique its thrown, distance thrown at, and also the hight at which it was thrown at. shorter guys throwing a punch at a taller guy will have less impact than a punch thrown if they were both the same height.

That’s because the fix is in.

I’ve suspected for years that Francis is actually 4 midgets stacked up in fight trunks.

You arrived late that day though so we had to deal with the bouncers, but when you are there its all easy going because you have all those VIP passes and we just enter through the special persons entrance. :D

Yeah, Im sorry I was late, I was getting molested by the ladies on the corner... Sherdogger problems sir lol.

Conor couldn't knock out a heavyweight if the heavyweight gave him a free shot.
