Media Hunter Campbell meets Islam in Dagestan

Hopefully he said fight Illa or drop the LW title and he can fight Brady at WW
How are they gonna say that? You can't say defend or vacate to a guy that fought 4 months ago. Especially when Jon Jones has 1 title defense in over 2 years.

First Hunter should go to Jon Jones' garage and tell a drunken Jon Jones to defend or vacate. I'd like to see that.

You fail to mention that Jon tore his pec which sidelined him for 1 of those 2 years ....

Doesn't matter.

You're out for 1.5 years with the belt, you have a moral and ethical obligation to do a 6-8 month turnaround afterwards, not take another 1 year off.

Hunter trying the nope the fuck outta there. That's vibes he is giving me.

Did Hunter hang out with the boys in the sauna room?

Fighters don't schedule fights. Especially title fights. The UFC does.

The problem is the UFC by their own admission tried to make Jones vs Aspinall @ UFC 317. That was their first idea. Then Jon Jones came out and said he needs 6 months to prepare.

You don't get to take 1.5 years to defend your belt, and turn around and ask for another 12 months before the 2nd defense.

Since 2019 Jon has been a once a year fighter. This isn't new. If we get to next November and Jon hasn't fought then something is off.

That's not accurate. When not suspended, Jon Jones was fairly active.

Then he had a long inactivity period after UFC 247. A LOT of people speculate he was secretly suspended with USADA, because the NSAC made it clear another public PED test failure would be a lifetime ban.

If you count his 2020-2023 inactivity period as suspicious, then him defending once a year IS new.

In 2013 Jon fought twice.
In 2014 he fought once.
In 2015 he fought once.
In 2016 he fought once.
In 2017 he fought once.
In 2018 he fought once.
In 2019 he fought twice.
In 2020 once.
None in 2021 or 2022.
Once in 2023.
Once in 2024.

And random people's speculations mean nothing. Either bring proof or stfu about it.

Go re-read my Earlier post. Yes, do it. No seriously actually read it.

WHEN. JON. JONES. IS. NOT. SUSPENDED. If you don't think he was suspended between 2020-2023, then you're a naive fool.

2010: 2 fights
2011: 4 fights
2012: 2 fights
2013: 2 fights
2014: 1 fight (First year with 1 fight --vs Texeira was supposed to be February but was moved twice to April. Then Jones vs Gus was supposed to be September 2014, but Gus pulled out and the fight was rescheduled to January 2015 vs DC).
2015: He fought once and was stripped + suspended from the UFC.
2016: Jones fought once & was then suspended for PED failure by USADA.
2017: Jones fought once & was then stripped & suspended for yet another PED failure.
2018: Jones was suspended almost the whole year from his 2017 suspsension and fought once on DECEMBER 29th.
2019: Jones fought twice
2020: Jones fought once and promptly vanished, almost certainly being suspended secretly by USADA to avoid a lifetime ban by the NSAC.

When not suspended Jones defended his belt once a year only one time in 2014 due to his opponent being injured.

You're an actual piece of shit for massively taking Jones' activity out of context. I can't even begin to describe your absolute lack of morality when putting Jon Jones' title defense activity into context.

No I'm just presenting facts straight up. Jon has been a ONCE a year fighter for a very long time now.
The reasons why are irrelevant. Doesn't matter if it's for a suspension or fight negotiations or injury or him just taking vacation. The UFC audience has been conditioned for over a decade to expect to see Jon Jones fight once a year.

Which is also why I pointed out that if we get to November 2025 and Jon hasn't fought then something actually is going on. If he does fight by then then it's just business as usual.

I'm sorry I'm not framing the facts to fight the narration you want to present. Bottom line is Jon is and has been a once a year fighter.
