(Translation: he's been training for this fight longer than me)


"I mean, he's probably being tested now, but I think everyone should have the same playing field."
(Transition: he wasn't tested before and might not be getting tested now. He has an advantage)



"I mean, I'm hoping he comes in like a crazy man and then I put him to sleep. That's basically what I hope is going to happen. But I don't think he's that stupid. I think he's going to be a bit smarter and test the waters first, but we'll see what happens on the night."
(Translation: I hope he doesn't bumrush me because that's his best chance to get me down)



First of all, I want Hunt to be champ. I want Brock to be back in the UFC and wanted him to win his first fight back. I wanted it to be one I can root for him. I can't root against Hunt. I'm torn. Lying naked on the floor. Torn... toooorn.

I love Hunt as a fighter. He is a fighter in every sense.

Listening to him speak is embarrassing though.
 
Excuse seeds? How many come in a pack? Are they sold at your local retail store like Walgreens or Smiths? I didn't know they were in season.
 
If you're a Hunt fan you should know you have to take everything he says at face value. Mark Hunt does not do subtext.
 
Hunts not the type of guy who makes excuses after a loss.

If Hunt losses he will say Brock was the better man on the night.

Btw don't pretend like Brick hasn't been talking along the same lines, taking the fight at the "11th hr" etc.
 
hahaha i like it - i still think Hunt will get it done though, excuses or not.

You use the word "translation" awfully liberally (and incorrectly) but we all have biases. :)
 
I don't doubt or disagree with any of those statements.
 
Hunto's fought a who's-who of combat sports for the past~15 years, and has been one of the most stoic fighters in the sport during that stretch. Most of what Hunt has said in the build-up is mere hype.
