“He is just such a big guy. I just got caught, couldn’t get out of first gear, he’s such a big guy, thought I’d be able to stop his takedowns. But he is quite strong, I don’t know how he can make 265 pounds — it’s all I can say.”

I know it is a conspiracy theory, but isn't it odd that he comes back excatly as they start making this "private" weight in?

...food for thought! ;)

Don't get me wrong, I love Hunt, I really do, but... boo-fuckin-hoo. Sounds like Nick getting his ass kicked by GSP and then talking about how he supposedly didn't make weight while there's a whole athletic commission behind the weigh-ins.

edit: a couple of users have warned me that I may have misinterpreted Hunt's quote when he was just impressed, not suggesting anything. If that's the case, I apologise.

A guy who's been wrestling for most of his life is good at cutting weight. This is a shocker. It isn't even his biggest cut or the biggest he's looked, he wasn't just a house against Herring he was a full apartment building.

Also the mystery is generally solved if you just look at him from the waist down. It's not like Brock doesn't have good drive and good full body power but those legs are uh...not the biggest let's say.

Try dieting and exercising and maybe you'd more easily make weight and wouldn't have a near .500 record.
I actually like Hunt but the leading up to this fight has my panties in a bunch over him. I blame Sherdoggers.

He cut to 265.5 lbs then by fight night he was in the low 290's lbs that morning weight-in with extra hours is better.

Nothing of the sort. If anything Hunt is giving Lesnar the credit and seems genuinely impressed and astonished by his size and strength.

Well he's all muscle. Losing water weight when your that massive and lean is different than when you a super samoan.

He sounded more like he was impressed with Lesnar's size and ability to make weight than he was questioning if he actually made weight.

I saw several opportunities where Brock was just standing in front of Hunt, and Hunt was in punching range and would just not throw. Strange to see Hunt so reserved.

Hunt is overweight at 5'10. No 5'10 man should weight 265lbs.

Also, brock couldn't have been more than 280. He used to be 280/285 in his old ufc days when he had a higher body fat %. Now brock is leaner, and surely weight's less.

Don't forget. Lesnar also had more time to rehydrate under the new weighing early system. That is a big point to consider. He was bigger, better and stronger than he has ever been.

brock made hunt look soooo small on the ground, his back engulfed hunt

Then I've misinterpreted the final part of his quote and I apologise if that's the case.

Hunt did look tiny compared to brock
I originally just thought that hunt was in phenomenal shape then I saw him fight. Reminded me of the Hunt that went on the losing streak a few years back.

No body fat. He's prob under 10% body fat which for 300 lber is nuts.
