How'd Rumble KO Glover so easily?

Precision beats power.... Timing beats speed. Being a knockout artist is not about how much force you can generate with your muscles. It is how much of that force are you able to transfer to your opponent. You have to know how to generate torque in every position. You have to be incredibly accurate and choose the perfect moment and angle to catch the guy. You have to find a way to create an opening by being sneaky and catching them off guard. Then once that opening is there you have to have lightning fast reflexes to make sure you place the punch in the exact spot needed.

Being a knockout artist is not "power". It it was then why is a guy like Matt Hughes not a knockout artist? He was strong as fuck but couldn't find a way to transfer that strength into his opponents chin.

Such a shame we never get Jones vs any of the terrifying hitters of the MMA world.

{<huh}

In what world is this remotely true lmao.

Jones pretty much only fought heavy handed strikers. There's only a couple grapplers, and even then it's not like Rashad, Bader, or DC haven't knocked guys dead too.

Jones fought plenty of really hard hitters. He just has a granite chin that not many people talk about.

Rumble hit like a truck. DC was the only one that was able to eat his shots at 205 but of course DC didn't try to stand with him for long. Edit: DC and Phil Davis

Rumble had underrated timing and placement. He had FINAL BOSS power but also was deceptively good at timing and placement

Jones still would have finished him if both in their prime. but it would have been one hell of an interesting fight until Rumble folded mentally

Rumble had laser guided accuracy.

People are always quick to say power, and I don't deny he had it, but fellas all those PERFECTLY PLACED shots, perfect range, perfect angle, find the path thru the guard, not getting hit in return, perfect timing... that shit didn't happen because of magical fairy dust they sprinkled on his gloves backstage.

Rumble was a criminally underrated technical kickboxer.

Indeed

Rumble had that footwork tailored for those punches.

Maybe Glover chin improved.

All those fighters are very powerful.

Glover can take a beating. I know he rolls more to avoid damage, but Hill landed some huge shots and had him cut up. I don't buy that a man can take more damage as he ages. Was Rumble just that much of a beast?

Because he had sledgehammers for hands sir.

In general, when Rumble touched chins, people slept

He should've been rented out to parents of difficult children.
He walks into the room, kid is freaking out...Rumble touches the chin....dreamland achieved sir lol.

And Rumble just booped him lol. Wasn't even a haymaker

He throws that uppercut while completely planted on his feet, and it was absolutely perfect.
It was also dead on the chin while Glover was bending over into it, and didn't see it whatsoever.

Had Rumble hit a normal person with that same shot they'd be drinking their meals through a straw sir lol.

Rumble started out as a ww.. (kind of)..

His power translated all the way to hw.. that's saying something about how powerful he really was.. next level shit..
most of a fighters power comes from the way they throw punches. proper power punching technique should look like someone throwing ropes with rocks on the end of them. guys like johnny walker, robbie lawler, paul daley, or gerald mcclellan, julian jackson, bob foster, and tommy hearns in boxing.

there are also guys with just god given power who don’t really throw with powerful technique and you tend to see those fighters get less KO’s when they move up in weight. think jessica andrade or wanderlei silva.

rumble was a devastating combination of both.
