Two of my cousins (now adults) had it as babies and wore stud earings. I thought it was messed up, like why is jewelry that important? I doubt it negatively affected them psychologically, considering how it lasts a few seconds only and then they'll forget about it, how neuroplastic a young brain is and that they have totally different adult personalities - although I don't like the idea of doing stuff to or around kids (eg arguing, even in jest) when they're too young to communicate distress, but it's not like you're gonna get them pierced without the parents around or just leave them afterwards. Is it worse pain than getting vaccinations.
