How you'll react the day this man who made MMA become big and for that he became Dana's ultimate golden boy for several years, retires?

Aint we already there?

Won't be noticed unless I get on Sherdog, then will think "it's about time".

I was never a fan of Conor and actively rooted against him a lot, but it'll be bittersweet seeing him retire. He had a great 3 year run that brought a lot of entertainment and fans.

Who is this Conor fellow you are talking about? I don't think he fights anymore.

It isn't when he retires it's when his fans stop talking about him like he was this amazing fighter. He wasn't he was a great mouthpiece, that is all. Never defended a belt, and gave up his prime years of MMA to chase dollars (which I get)

I'm not a Conor fan, but the sport was obviously much better and more interesting with him in it. Unfortunately, he got a taste of that Floyd money and it completely ruined him.

He's not the first person to be ruined by fame and money, and he won't be the last.

Meh, it will be the same as it is now because he doesn't even fight. I'll just be doing the exact same thing I do now which is watch Nate choking him out, and Khabib choking him out, and Poirier beating the snot out of him twice, and on the odd occasion will watch the Mayweather fight. Enjoyed them all thoroughly

He seems to already be retired. The question should be, how will I react if he comes out of retirement.

Funny, it never affected FLOYD himself.

Just look at my post history for the last 3 years, that's how I've acted since Conor has been out of the game

It would have been really cool, in some alternative universe if McGregor after knocking Aldo out, rematched him and then rematched Max and fought Volk. What if he stayed all disciplined, obsessed and spiritual like he was? We really overlook the talent he was on his rise up. I got to see the rise of Jones live, from his debut all the way up, I didn't get to see that with GSP unfortunately but McGregor was the only thing comparable to Jones I've witnessed and he surpassed him in terms of being a shooting star to the belt. There has been such a meaningful run to the title and newly crowned champion since.
