this fight seems a lot closer now i think Jon s pride would have forced him to stand and bang with Rumble who is way more powerfull than Santos and Reyes but Jon has a way better chin than DC , now i kind a think Rumble could have anulated the wrestling factor at least early on he was a master at closing the distance and deceptive speed this figth would have been crazy

Most likely, Jones uses his range and quickness just like in the Rampage fight. Either a UD or submission by Jones. After a round or two, Rumble was pretty much useless anyways

DC being shorter than Jon I think helped him in taking Rumble down. Jon would either have to clinch or shoot from a distance to TD Rumble, both options put him in considerable danger.
I think Jon would’ve attempted to stand with Rumble to pick him apart and wouldn’t have relied on wrestling quite as much as DC.
If anyone had a chance to beat Jon at that time it was Rumble, even with 2 rounds of cardio.

We have seen rumble fold under pressure and get subbed by Josh Koscheck, Vitor and DC though.

Take away the steroid talk, whether or not he did take steriods through out his career, or not. How would've a fight between Jon Jones, and Anthony Johnson went? I'm sure a lot of people will say Rumble just because they don't like Jones, but me personally I think Rumble would've definitely had a chance especially because of his Nuclear Bombs for hands, but overall I think Jon wouldn't play his game, and stand in front of him. If DC was able to takedown, and control Rumble, I'm 110% sure Jon Jones would've done the same, if not worse.

Jones via IQ. Rumble one of my all-time favs but Jones keeps him at distance, drag him down and subs him....quite likely via RNC.

Always a prayer to the JBG that lunging hook connects and changes history, but at the time, was probably a 15% change of happening.

Jones usually clinches and changes level, I don’t know if clinching with rumble is a good idea especially because he’s a lot shorter than Jones so will have a solid base and has dynamite hands which I’m sure he would release in a clinch situation to keep Jon humble.

dc took him down easily but they are of the same height, a level change is easier to disguise on someone your same height IMO
