Resume wise, it's the difference between a guy with ~30 fights against people without wikipedia pages, versus a guy with only 6 wins but two of these wins are outbrawling Tank Abbott and Wanderlei Silva. Makes it intriguing.

And again, no one has answered my question: who is the best striker that Igor beat either by finishing or clearly outstriking and winning a decision?

That question doesn't need to be answered if we have no reason to believe young Vitor was an elite striker. We know he was good at the blitz and that's all we know.

If Igor wasn't expecting a Brazilian to throw punches, wouldn't that be a huge advantage for Vitor when he blitzes? Especially since back then, Vitor was still being announced and marketed as a jiu-jitsu fighter.

I don't know if Igor would have had the same preconceived notions as a Lion's Den fighter, but I do think he wouldn't be finished by the blitz.
