How would Chris Weidman do against the fighters Anderson Silva defended against?

chris’s ufc debut wasn’t very long after his mma debut. if he wasn’t in his prime then, when was he in his prime?
His physical prime probably ended in wrestling, based on his interviews but you don't really know a damn thing about the guy while pretending you do.

You probably think prime Brock Lesnar fought in the UFC too. Hey, he was 2 fights into his career right? Must have been in his prime!

He beats them all
Seriously
Not a Weidman fan, but he was good in his prime
And Silva's opponents weren't that good, to be honest.
All of them had their flaws.

Edit: don't get me wrong, they were good fighters, but Silva didn't fought a Khabib or a Volkanovski.

Hard to fight a Khabib or Volkanowski when he is a Khabib or Volkanowski. You don't really get goat vs goat fights.

Most likely before he even started MMA. Ronda is another example of someone whose physical peak was over by the time they started fighting professionally.

Weidman was very good in his Prime but Hendo fucks him bad.

Hendo was Pride double champ buddy.

He had a short prime because the division got alot better than when Anderson was on top. He would blow through the guys Anderson fought but he couldnt dominate the division as it became after he won the belt.
Eh tbh with you I think you could spend a lifetime pondering wtf happened with Weidman. IMO he is a legit Curious Case in mma.

Khabib never fought an Anderson Silva.

Weidman in 2013 was dam good, he beats all of those guys. The Franklin fight would be a really good one. That's the only one I see giving Weidman problems and maybe beating him.

I feel like people forget how good Nate was for awhile there. Chael might beat him too.

Both very interesting fights. I'd love to see how Weidman handles a pressure grapplers like Chael.

I’m not a huge fan tbh. But I think he beats them all

I think a lot of people would jump to Weidman sub, forgetting or not knowing that Chael is one of the best wrestlers in MW history.

GSP stacked his resume with LWs, Silva was lucky with a weak MW division, Fedor fought cans, Jones caught the LHW division before they retired. You can discredit all the goats by that logic.

I am not using that logic.

I am not discrediting Anderson's opposition. Thats your sensitivity coming into play. I am saying that the division got better. It DID.

It's weird that you keep saying Weidman is and always has been trash. The previous sentence was brought to you by, playing Goutfather's game with him.

Enjoy!
i didn’t say or imply that weidman was trash. you did state that weidman would have beaten all of anderson’s opponents. and the implication with that view is that his opponents were of worse quality relative to chris’s, ostensibly because chris’s opponents were more recent. more recent = modern = better. is there some other reason chris failed to defend his belt 11 times?

I feel that 2008 Hendo Weidman could well have out grappled Dan, the H-bomb would have been a risk but I'm not sure I favour it to land.

There is a difference between being favourite in matches and going undefeated for years though, Silva definitely had the "it" factor similar to say Fedor or Nog were he was able to overcome bad situations and pull out the win.

oh yeah i’m sure. maybe we can add “pre-mma weidman” to our mythical fighters list. i’m sure he and motivated bj are dominating the scene in some alternate universe. maybe chuck with that look in his eye will drop down and give him a run for his money.

The Vitor Silva faced >>>>>> The deflated Vitor Thant Chris faced.

Night and day difference.

Prime Dan can beat him.
Prime Chael can beat him.

Dan vs Jake take shows me people didn’t watch that fight. Dan nearly killed Jake in that first round. His back stiffened up and he couldn’t move well after that first round.

Chaels wrestling and cardio especially would be a huge problem for prime Chris.

And yes USADA Chris was smaller and weaker. He gave in interview an excuse that he wanted to be faster so he came in lighter to face Luke when asked about his size. What amazing timing for this new belief in speed over size.
