How will ring rust not be a factor in Dustin/Mcgregor?

Conor hasn't fought consistently. He looks about 40 years old and has lost all his hair. His best win in 4 years is Cerrone.

During that time Dustin has fought Miller, Alvarez x 2, Pettis, Gaethje, Holloway, Khabib and Hooker. That is a shit load of experience.

Are people thinking Conor is going to walk in like it's 2015 and have not lost his touch? Possible but extremely unlikely.
Also a shitload of damage and surgery. Conor hasn't fought but he stull trains and hasn't injured himself during that time

I urge people to rewatch the first fight, Conor struggles against southpaw fighters, his chin held up but he took some bombs.

The left hand will be there for Dustin, especially after the first round.

Even the finish was due to a shot behind the ear, all the pressure is once again on Conor to finish early. If he encounters any kind of adversity I don't think he'll be ready, he hasn't fought a legit PFP fighter since 2018.
He only got hit like twice clean to the head in that fight bro I literally just rewatched it today

Clean, not clean, the reality is Dustin actually outlanded him in the fight with much higher accuracy.

For it being such a short fight, Conor took some big punches that would've stumbled lesser chins.

I expect the rematch to go the same way, Conor is gonna take some big punches closing the distance and he'll have to land something big to win. The chance that Conor can KO Dustin clean or get him behind the ear again is less likely than Dustin playing it smart, being prepared, and dragging Conor into the later rounds for a tko stoppage.

Conor def can win this fighting within 2

but if it goes 3+ it’s gonna be all Dustin all day.

maybe Dustin will lay down just like Canrone to bring mystic Mac back and make more money in 2021!! Dana white is the smartest promoter ever!
Ya thats whats gonna happen ....dork

Conor very fought contenders, his success is predicated on marketing and selective match making, he'll be fine.

I see no little reason Dustin cant win except for Conors one only elite skill: marketing.

If he gets in his head again, you'll see another soft tko via an above average striker.
They're both too old for that shit. I bet it will be humble Conor and quiet Dustin

I got Dustin winning this fight. You just can't bank on a guy that can't fight past the 2nd round and on top of that has taken long layoffs. Poirier is an animal, I think he can TKO Conor in the 4th round.

Ring rust never affected Khabib and nor did injuries including getting surgeries so in the case of Conor losing hopefully we'll get some more new quality excuses from his fan base.

They could fight a billion times and Conor wins all of them. Ring rust or no.

ring rust isn't a thing. if you are training and sparring, it isn't a thing.

The points made about Poirier being a south paw are very valid and he did land some good shots in the first fight. Actually broke McGregor's tooth with a left hook.

That said, I think the outcome will be the same. Poirier will probably get a few shots in but McGregor is very likely to start sniping him once he has his timing.

And who knows, maybe after Khabib his chin won’t be able to withstand those same shots. That said, it was in actuality only a few that landed like 3-4.
I just want to see if 1)Conor can get past Dustin’s improved defense 2)If when/if he can, will he be able to put Dustin away 3)If in doing so, he will be able to withstand Dustin’s power

I think Conor can outlast Dustin standing but not if there’s grappling involved.

If Conor shows up anywhere near the guy who fought Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 he wins convincingly.

where was the ring rust against Cerrone? Conor looked his best ever and hadn't fought in a while.
